Smith, and with him most of modern economics, took for granted that somehow helpless children grow into functioning adults capable of making contracts, keeping promises and having empathy for others.  In other words, she discovered that the economy depends on the intact family raising children. Religious thinkers and ordinary moms and dads knew this all along, of course. But Dr. Morse brought this common sense observation into direct contact with economic analysis. This discovery, which she fully develops in her seminal work, Love and Economics, is the basis for all of her subsequent work promoting what are now called “socially conservative” issues. Mark Neumann went to Congress in 1994 to balance the federal budget and restore out economy. And he succeeded!  In fact, Mark was such a fierce opponent of deficits, Congressional leaders of both parties threatened to end his “political” career if he voted against their spending. In September 1995, Republican Party bosses kicked him off the Appropriations Committee for voting against higher spending. Conservative Republicans rallied to support Mark, they backed his reinstatement and forced Congressional leaders to restore Mark to the Appropriations Committee and had him put on the Budget Committee, the first freshman in Congress to serve on both the Appropriations and Budget Committees at the same time. Considered Wisconsin’s most conservative Congressman in the last thirty years, Neumann repeatedly voted for lower taxes—never raising taxes—voted 100% pro-life, pro-marriage, and was rated A+ by the NRA in 1998. Senator Jim DeMint has called Mark a “full spectrum conservative. In 1998,  02:00:00stacyswimpnoJennifer Morse,Stacy Swimp,Mark Neumann,Right,Bishop Ira CombsJennifer Roback Morse, Ph.D,  discovered and elucidated an unstated assumption made by Adam Smith, the founder of modern-day economics. What they have in common is a desire to make America a better place for African-Americans, and all Americans, to live and work. Project 21 members do this in a variety of ways in their own communities, and, through Project 21, by writing opinion editorials for newspapers, participating in public policy discussions on radio and television, by participating in policy panels, by giving speeches before student, business and community groups, and by advising policymakers at the national, state and local levels. 02:00:00stacyswimpnoProject 21,ICON,RIGHT,Jerome Hudson,Stacy SwimpProject 21 is an initiative of The National Center for Public Policy Research to promote the views of African-Americans whose entrepreneurial spirit, dedicFeaturing: Maurice Emsellem, National Employment Law Projecthttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/stacyswimp/2012/01/18/featuring-maurice-emsellem-national-employment-law-project-1Politics Conservativehttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/stacyswimp/2012/01/18/featuring-maurice-emsellem-national-employment-law-project-1/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/stacyswimp/2012/01/18/featuring-maurice-emsellem-national-employment-law-project-1Wed, 18 Jan 2012 00:00:00 GMTFeaturing: Maurice Emsellem, National Employment Law ProjectMaurice Emsellem is the National Employment Law Project’s (NELP) Policy Co-Director.  NELP is a research and advocacy organization that delivers on the nation’s promise of economic opportunity.   Mr. Emsellem specializes in government systems of support for unemployed workers and the employment rights of people with criminal records.  He and his colleagues at NELP have co-authored several publications, including scholarly articles that appeared in the Stanford Law & Policy Review and theUniversity of Michigan Journal of Law Reform.   Mr. Emsellem was a Soros Justice Senior Fellow (2005), and a Visiting Public Interest Mentor at Stanford Law School (2003).  He received his B.A. in 1982 from the University of Michigan and his J.D. in 1986 from Northeastern University School of Law.01:04:00stacyswimpnoMaurice Emsellem,Stacy Swimp,Media,Politics,EmploymentMaurice Emsellem is the National Employment Law Project’s (NELP) Policy Co-Director.  NELP is a research and advocacy organization that delivers on the nation’sWeek's End Rants With Stacy Swimp, Unhyphenated Conservativehttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/stacyswimp/2012/01/14/weeks-end-rants-with-stacy-swimp-unhyphenated-conservativePolitics Conservativehttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/stacyswimp/2012/01/14/weeks-end-rants-with-stacy-swimp-unhyphenated-conservative/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/stacyswimp/2012/01/14/weeks-end-rants-with-stacy-swimp-unhyphenated-conservativeSat, 14 Jan 2012 00:00:00 GMTWeek's End Rants With Stacy Swimp, Unhyphenated Conservative   Contagious Transformation is the vision of Stacy Swimp, which espouses the belief that our great nation is in need of a restoration of American values. Values which place God, country and family back in the center of our lives. This can be accomplished only if we are resolutely committed to breaking the chains that are often shackled around our minds, separating us along class, ethnic, and even political party lines. This has to occur one relationship at a time, sparking a national dominoe effect, which can lead to making America a better place to live, work, and play, now and for generations unborn. We believe that the principles of limited government, free market, and personal responsibility, as outlined in the Constitution of the United State of America, provide the only hope for cultivating and developing solutions to the challenges facing America in the 21st century. Our mission is to provide public policy discussions and contributions to solutions through independent and objective presentations on key social, economic, and political issues. Through the efforts of some of our best and brightest American Conservatives, we hope to provide our readers with essential information that shall inform, equip, and empower you to get involved with the political process. This discovery, which she fully develops in her seminal workLove and Economics, is the basis for all of her subsequent work promoting what are now called “socially conservative” issues. Dr. Morse earned her Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Rochester in 1980. She taught economics at Yale University and George Mason University.
