Kenneth Morris, Jr is the Great-great-great grandson of Frederick Douglass and Great-great grandson of Booker T. Washington. He is President of the Frederick Douglass Family Foundation.
Their Mission:
The Frederick Douglass Family Foundation’s (FDFF) vision is to end human trafficking in communities all over the world and our mission is to educate and inspire young people to take collective action against human trafficking and modern-day slavery using modern communications and social networking technologies. Since slavery is so deeply woven into the human fabric, something as transformative as a sustained social movement is needed to achieve our mission – a youth-led, anti-trafficking revolution.
Their Work:
Slavery exists today in various forms throughout the world. It’s estimated that millions of people live in a state of servitude. Right now there are women being forced into prostitution, children working in factories for little or no wage and men being sold or traded like cattle. They started the Frederick Douglass Family Foundation to help those people to live free.
