Have you marketed your blog in any way? You must have a ready-made audience in your patients?

Great stuff. As a beginner, I have some questions: How important is writing on one particular beat/section? And, how to know which topic is good for me? If one has more than one area of interests, do multiple bog accounts make sense, or one can keep posting whatever comes to mind. Thanks a lot.

    Questions I have

Am really looking forward to doing a lot on BTR. I was a big fan of skypecasts when they were launched and i did a bunch,
including with some well-known folks: http://www.sajaforum.org/skypecasts/

But the technology was limiting and I gave up... BTR seems to have a much
    better process.

Some questions I have, in no particular order:

I get how PHONE folks can call in, but how do those listening online do?

I want to do these with major speakers, but am not sure how I ensure they
get to be one of the five callers before others jump on...

  • Date / Time:

    My first show

After a couple of months of procrastination, I decided to finally try out BTR on Friday. It was much easier than I expected it to be. I set up a show about Facebook and, basically interviewed myself about how journalists can use Facebook better. Since it was the first time, it was a bit sloppy, but I can see enormous potential here.

Some notes I made for myself:

    * people can listen online to one or more speakers or listen by dialing to a
    NYC number via the phone

    * people can call-in and ask questions via phone or their PC/mac

    * automatically generates an archived recording that can also be downloaded
    as an MP3.

    * free for the hosts and free for the listeners.

Looking forward to doing more. I have already set up my next one, Blogging for Journalists.
