You're right- Danbury is almost as far from me as you can get, & still be in state, LOL. That's a great suggestion about the sandwich, btw. I love him dearly, but he doesn't really understand that expressing his dislike of the meal is actually an insult to the cook. sigh... I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier- I didn't think to check! I did just get your friend request- my first, outside of blogtalkradio staff :P I wouldn't worry about posing on the main forums... we were all new, and as far as this site goes, it's only been up since early April! Our CT forum seems to be a bit quiet, so I pretty much hover around the FLYing Feats- I need the motivation of seeing my triumphs written down, or I feel like I'm getting nothing done :( Oh, & don't get intimidated there, either. I know all about the days when just getting out of bed is all you can manage- make sure to count it as a triumph, too! Springli

Hi, Springli, I'm CTFlyBaby, aka, Sharon :) This is my first attempt at replying to a post on a FlyLady Forum. I am completely lost when it comes to these forum things, so I hope I'm doing this right. I started acquainting myself with the forums by reading over a few of the older posts from the bloggers from CT on the Connecticut Forum, and I just read your message from May 16th and thought I'd try to say hi! I'm in Danbury, CT, which I'm pretty sure is not close to Ellington, but I thought I'd write anyway. I'm also starting out by just writing to you (I hope I am anyway, if I'm understanding how this works, lol!), instead of writing to the whole forum group and maybe making a fool out of myself! lol! I too am remarried, and I have two girls (ages 16 and 18) from my first marriage. And both husbands were/are self employed, which is quite stressful! I'm now on SS disability, and working very part time (a few hours per month usually) at a daycare up the road, so I'm home a lot, but still struggling to get flying. Anyway, I really related to your May 2nd posting about the beef stew :). You loved it but your new hubby apparently doesn't like soups & stews much. And I identify with how you felt deflated when it turned out your husband didn't care much for the stew. So I just thought I'd make this suggestion. Whenever I make stew or pot roast, if anyone in the house doesn't want stew for whatever reason, I just take out some of the cooked beef and make a roast beef sandwich out of it for that person. So maybe if your husband likes sandwiches, that might be an option for you to feed him that instead, with his share of the meat from the stew :). Well, I just wanted to give this forum thing a try; but I'd better go get a little bit of flying done today, or I'm really going to be disappointed with myself! I hope you're having a good day today, and please drop me a line if you feel like it! Take care, Sharon
