It's Selection Saturday on SportsTalkSoup. We preview the NCAA Tournament with Matt Norlander from collegehoopsjounal.com. We will touch on the bubble teams and let you know who's in and who's out. In addition, Matt will let you know on what seeds these teams will recieve from the selection committee: Pittsburgh - with the #1 seed, do they have the best chance of winning it all, does UConn still end up locking up a #1 seed, are the Sooners and Blake Griffin still worthy of recieving a #1 seed, Kansas - being upset by Baylor in the first round of the BIG 12 Tournament, do they still get a #2 seed, and Clemson has lost four of its last five games, what seed do they end up with? Matt will also touch on if he believes that the SEC will only have one team make it to the Tourney. Speaking of the SEC and its great teams, is Billy Gillepsie officially a bust and on the hot seat after Kentuky lost 5 of their last 6 regular season games to fall to 8th place in a very weak SEC conference? On top of all this, the GodFather conducts an interview with Michael Kruse. One of the most exciting storylines in all of sports in the past five years is arguably Davidson baskeball. Michael Kruse knew that and ran with it. Kruse recently wrote a book about Davidson entitled “Taking the Shot: The Davidson Basketball Moment.” We talk to Michael about his book, Stephon Curry, and Davidson's cinderella run in the tourney last year, as well as their 2009 season.
