Ariel Joseph Towne: The power of 'Energy' in sports & how you can shift it

    in Sports

From a park in Los Angeles, Feng Shui master and actor/writer/director/coach Ariel Joseph Towne returns to the LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS podcast to discuss the power of ‘energy’ in sports. As sports fans we often enjoy cheering, chanting and getting hyped for key plays in a game. In this episode, host Yogi Roth talks to Joe about the power of energy shifting in stadiums, as well as in life.
You’ll hear terms such as ‘Guardians of the Gate,’ how stadiums have '9 areas of energy,' be taught a tool to alter your mind if rushed/stressed/excited and that there is even an equation around the vibe in stadiums (Emotion x Picture = Energy).
In a powerful story, Joe also teaches us about how our reactions as parents at games or watching games can influence our children, as well thoughts around rituals.
Amid the natural environment in LA you’ll laugh, get amped for games and possibly alter how you support your favorite teams as the foremost expert on ‘energy’ shares some of his mastery.

Episode 12: "Thinking Basketball" & Waxing Philosophical with Ben Taylor

    in Sports

Ben Taylor (@ElGee35), founder of Backpicks.com, dropped by the show to discuss his book, "Thinking Basketball," which focuses on the way we think about basketball (often in the wrong way or using the wrong mental lens), as well as the importance of supporting casts, and his new metric for measuring offensive creation using box-score data, the aptly named, Box Creation. Finally, we touch on the Kyrie Irving trade and both make our claims as Kyrie optimists. Ben with a bit more data to back his claims.
Here are the links to the things discussed in the show.

The Ball Hawk Show Podcast: Virginia Football, Game 3 Recap vs UCONN

    in Sports

Sponsored By:  ABLE Insurance  http://ableinsurance.net/  434-979-0814
The offensive gameplan was so much better vs UCONN, will this trend continue? Jordan Ellis had 20 carries and this resulted in another Virginia victory.  Is this the magic number in order for the Hoos to win? Three different Cavaliers' receivers went over 100 yards Saturday. The defense forced various turnovers, even though they still gave up a lot of rushing yards to a QB.  Should we be concerned? Email The Ball Hawk at: theballhawk9@gmail.com

Fantasy Football Feeding Frenzy: Week 3 Preview

    in Sports

We’re two weeks into the 2017 NFL (and fantasy football) season, and for every thing we know about the year there are three things we don’t.
We knew that Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints and Tom Brady of the New England Patriots were going to be OK, and sure enough they rebounded in Week 2. But raise your hand if you had Trevor Siemian of the Denver Broncos as leading the NFL in passing scores after two weeks.
Put your hand down you liar.
At running back, Kareem Hunt of the Kansas City Chiefs continues to impress. But two games in Le’Veon Bell of the Pittsburgh Steelers still hasn’t gotten untracked, and Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys and LeSean McCoy of the Buffalo Bills were just shut…down.
And the tight ends? Hurt. All of them. Rob Gronkowski (Patriots). Tyler Eifert (Cincinnati Bengals). Jordan Reed (Washington Redskins). Jimmy Graham (Seattle Seahawks). Hurt. Hurt. Hurt. And hurt.
Those injuries are just the tip of the iceberg in that regard, and only the beginning of what the Fantasy Football Feeding Frenzy will discuss as they get you ready for a full slate of Week 3 games.
Will they Green Bay Packers rebound at home against the Bengals? Will the Bengals finally score a touchdown in that game? Will the three undefeated AFC West teams keep rolling? Will the game in Indianapolis between the Colts and Browns end in a scoreless tie?
Join us Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 7 PM Eastern as we break down the third week of the 2017 NFL season.
