SpokenHeard with Jade Sylvan and Susan Dobbe Chase

Jade Sylvan is an award-winning poet and nonfiction writer whose poetry and essays have been published in over twenty journals, websites, and magazines. She has won many poetry prizes and received several artist grants, Jade is a member of the 2013 Boston Poetry Slam Team. Her book, Kissing Oscar Wilde is forthcoming. She has toured extensively throughout North America and Europe. She has performed and facilitated workshops at well-known venues throughout North America. In 2011, Jade co-founded Mass LEAP a collective of artists and teachers working to increase youth poetry opportunities in Greater Boston. Performance collaborations include work with some of the most groundbreaking artists in Boston.Jade has a degree in Religious Studies from Indiana University, Bloomington, and is also a Kripalu certified yoga teacher. Other passions include: tattoos, feminism, queer rights, craft-brewed beers, and home-cooked meals.
