 Mckendy Fils-Aimé is a five-time competitor at the National Poetry Slam, having represented Worcester, Manchester, and the Boston Poetry Slam. He is also a two-time NorthBEAST Regional Slam individual finalist, ranking third in 2011. In 2012, he will represent the Boston Poetry Slam at NPS in Charlotte in August and at the Individual World Poetry Slam in Fayetteville in October. Mckendy has shared the stage with the likes of Corrina Bain, Mike McGee, and Regie Gibson. In January of 2011, he toured the country as part of a poetry quartet called No More Ribcage. Some of his work can be found in literary journals such as Amoskeag, Radius, Smashcake, and Borderline. Currently, he has three self-published books and is working on a manuscript.
