"Breeze" was born in Charlotte, NC on Feb 11th 1986. HE has 3 daughters and at age 11 started writing music, poetry, and DJing. By age 13, he seemed to follow after his older brother and began selling drugs and running in the streets. He started recording and putting out tracks on mixtapes for people in his neighbrohood on the westside of Charlotte, NC. At age 16, he was signed to RIP (Rough Intelligent Productions) under Jeff “Relic” White. Under his direction, he learned the basics of recording, engineering, production, and the music business. RIP released two projects that featured Breeze and other All-Star artists; “Sewer to the Surface,” and his first album “Blood in the Water.”
Things did not go as planned and he ended up traveling but kept a tight relationship with RIP. He went on to start his own production company called Black Market Entertainment LLC, and was managed by Duncan Hines of Cakemixx Ent (owner of The Carolina Promoter). Under Duncan’s guidance Breeze says he “learned the business of the music industry – the behind the scene aspects and I continued to follow my path and released various mixtapes, singles, and did many shows in Charlotte and surrounding areas.*
