A political science graduate of St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, McKendry also earned a Masters in Public Health from Drexel University in Pennsylvania. With over a decade of supervisory experience in the health, human services, and non-profit sectors, McKendry now serves the Verde Valley area in a variety of capacities.Since June of 2009, McKendry has immersed herself in the Verde Valley community, serving in the following capacities: Housing Commissioner for the City of Sedona, Advisory Board Member for the United Way of the Verde Valley, member of the Greater Sedona Substance Abuse Coalition, Keep Sedona Beautiful, the Hummingbird Society, the American Public Health Association, and the Alliance for Hispanic Health. She is also an active member of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church in Sedona, Arizona and serves as Coordinator of The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI as it is affectionately known) at Yavapai College in Sedona.
