Let us pray for those who crunch numbers,
who publish statistics,
who report studies and findings,
who remind us that numbers add up to gender equality.
Let us pray for those who yearn for a quality education
regardless of their gender or social class,
for those who are gifted in science, math and technology,
and for those who muster toughness
through these requirements in school.
Let us pray for an end to stereotypes, sexism, and all comments
that discourage the learning spirit,
that destroy the dreams of the soul,
and that harm the wonder of youth.
May our hunger for education be filled with empowerment.
May our thirst for equality be slaked with justice.
May all of us walk in the ways of doing better.
This we ask O God. Amen.
