"Taking Care of Number 1" YOU!

Are you a recovering Care Giver? What is that you may ask. Someone who puts others first to there detriment. I decided to choose this topic because as I expand my teaching and healing practice I am remembering why I stepped away from this industry. As a former care giver burn out, I am coming upon similar situations where I had set no bounderies before and I am taking a moment to make different choices. It seems the world is in need and everyone is reaching out for help. As we look out side ourselves we are moving away from the source of our answers, our own spirit. If you are noticing that everything in your life is dissapearing, where is it going?Who is tapped into your energy Then look at who you are tapping into there energy. First call back your energy then give back the energy of others. We always think someone else is better so we take on there energy but all it does is mess up the communication we have with ourselves. Sometimes we take on the burden of another only to have it crush us. 10 years ago I worked in an alternative medical center and most were looking at there final journey.What I observed was that these people had given away most of there life force energy to there family and friends and the world around. The statement of 'It's better to give then recieve" has been taken a little too literally. To ask for what you need or to receive help is selfish. My statement is "It's better to take care of the SELF then to give your self away". While I did Lymph massage on the clients I would lead them through a guided meditation to collect up there energy and send a validation to each person they had called there energy back from. To validate the capability of each individual of there ability to create for them selves. I watched as family's shifted there demands on the patient and there was space for healing.
