Counting calories, or simply being aware/concerned about calories as a basis for the selection of food is a very outdated, ineffective and potentially damaging way of relating to food and self.... What if today you gave that idea away and instead shifted to a more evolved and freer way of being with food and self? Consider each piece or item of food, or meal, in terms of its level of NOURISHMENT.... Not just to your body, but you mind and soul..... Things that are less than optimally "healthy" can actually be quite a wonderful source of nourishment if it is something that TRULY brings you lasting joy.... People often discount the effect that our INTERACTION and RESPONSE to food makes on our digestion and assimilation of it.... And also to our METABOLIC rate.... When we are in JOY our whole body is vibrating and functioning at a higher and faster level.... The concept of CALORIES can never, ever take these very real yet intangible factors into account.... That is why in my world they are not only unhelpful in the large part, but also unintelligent...Trust your body, trust your psyche.... Trust your SOUL....Eat with love, joy and an awareness of the GOODNESS of the things you are eating beyond the body....We are magical beings.... Embrace, harness and revel in that.
