  MOMMA KNOWS BEST

  
  

  Momma cooked and cleaned

  And made sure I was fine,

  She gave up so much

  All the time.

   

  She stood for me

  Like no one else,

  She did for me before

  She did for herself.

   

  She talked to me

  And taught me well,

  She gave of herself

  So I’d prevail.

   

  She shared quotes with me

  That proved momma knew best,

  Then she gave me space to

  On my own learn the rest.

   

  She told me to keep confidence

  And never ever let

  Time to show

  A life full of regret

   

  To live for each moment

  And for God too,

  Momma knows best

  Is a quote still true

   

  I love you momma

  Because of all that you are

  Your light and knowledge

  Has blessed me thus far.
