  Presently Derek Frye All My Children,most recently King Lear with Classical Theatre of Harlem,the play Miles Davis with Women of Color productions.Created the role of Floyd Barton in Seven Guitars at Goodman Theatre and went on to join Broadway cast.Also have appeared in Jitney,Two Trains Running,and Joe Turner's Come And Gone.As Travis Smith on HBO's OZ,also 8 episodes of Law and Order,NY Undercover,NYPD Blue,Guiding Light.Films Shaft with Samuel L Jackson,The Out of Towners,Head of State,Assasin,It Runs in The Family,Rick,and the upcoming Narrows with Vincent D'nofrio.Regional Theatre include Yale Rep,Hartford Stage,Kennedy Center,Folger Shakespeare Theatre to name a few.The winner of 5 NY Audelco Awards,I have directed 9 of August Wilson's plays for the Lucy Craft Laney Museum of Black History,Seven Guitars for NC A&T,and many other's.As a writer Augusta Brown,Jimi Slight Return,Mr Unemployed,Electric LadyWe a People.An Ordained Minister in the Christian faith serving and preaching the word.
