While most of us are "TRUE" Americans and only care about what's right for "OUR" country, there are still some whom do not. President Obama is not a black man, a white man, a Spanish man or Asian, what he is; is a human and what he is; is an American. To those of us whom idolize him, don't and for those of us whom despise him, don't. He is an average man, the same as you and I, who has a job to do. There are only two options here; good job or bad job and only time will tell which option he elects. If you still choose to focus on his race then keep in mind that Mr. Obama is mixed. So does that mean if he turned out to be the greatest President in history it was because of his Caucasian genes? If he turns out to be the worst President in history it was because of his Negro genes? His race is the farthest thing from my mind. He comes into office at the WORST possible time and has a extremely hard and daunting task ahead of him and truthfully he will most likely be as mediocre as "EVERY" President before him has been. He is not the second coming of Christ nor is he the anti-Christ. His message of change is not about race but about the past eight years this country has endured. I've read blogs that said "This is a sad day for America ", to those who think like that, I agree. It's not sad because Mr. Obama is President, it's sad because you think like that. I've read blogs that have read "I will never call him President", well you are not an American and should leave this country immediately. Ignorance is intolerable and should not be worn as a badge of honor. I'm not an Obama supporter, I am an America supporter. My political party is neither Democrat nor Republican; I'm a member of the Best-for-our-country party. At the end of the day a light that has been switched off can be switched back on. To those who say "Terrorists" were afraid of G.W. Bush and will attack our country now, keep in mind that 9/11 did happen under G.W. Bush's watch. God forbid there be such another atrocious attack on our country but if there were, how dare you blame President Obama? Baghdad is to Iraq as New York to the U.S.A. so be thankful there are not tanks crumbling Manhattan and bombs being dropped in Brooklyn and war ravaging the streets. I say this to you as a black man, a thug, a Marine Corps veteran, a successful business man, an educated man, a writer and poet but most of all... I say this to you as an American!
We are near the end of President Obama's fisrt quarter in office. The Spotlight would like to know your opinion on Mr. Presidents' progress to date. Have you felt a change thus far?
