The SpectaLIVE "Think Differently" Talk Radio Show!!!  

Please allow me a second to vent if you would be so kind... Okay, our President has finally wrapped up his passivist, apologetic world tour, which pretty much tossed appreciation for what America has done for the rest of the world to the wind in exchange for remorse and questionable, subservient gestures and protocol blunders to many of the worlds’ leaders... I can only assume he must be sorry for being President of the most powerful nation in history and wishes we were all on the same level, possibly controlled by the same world order? And to top it all off... He chooses to wrap up his ever-so-humble, kid-gloved, international love-fest for world leaders, communists, socialists and terrorists dictators alike by popping the tops off of three Somali pirates just to show you his red ties aren’t just for show, he knows how to use guns and bibles too!!! Classic. The administration wants to “Change our international image”, the question is, exactly what do they want to change it to? We have been portrayed as arrogant, or prideful... which as you know is a cardinal sin... do you agree with this expressed sentiment? Even if you do, do you agree with the President speaking ill of his own nation to other world leaders especially when he is on their soil (see the Dixie Chicks)? The administration is trying very hard to correct what it perceives to be “our problem” by way of its proposed “change”... but it appears to be at a major cost, in more ways than one.

This week’s show is actually in reference to only a small aspect of the aforementioned tirade... ARROGANCE & PRIDE. I believe much is yet to be discussed about the way we as young Americans deal with these sentiments on a daily basis, and the popular media isn’t helping us with that at all!!! With the current spirit-crushing economic climate in America, this past Winter has been one of the COLDEST EVER in more ways than one, even despite all the erroneous claims of "global warming"!!! Will we see the bottom of this thing before years end? Who really knows... But what I do know is that with the change of seasons from cold and cloudy to warm and sunny, God presents us with a real, and symbolic opportunity to renew our perspectives on life each year that we shouldn't overlook, ESPECIALLY THIS YEAR!!! Let’s see... The President, Black... The Chairman of the RNC for the first time in history, Black... Lil Wayne goes from Obscure, Pseudo-Gangsta rapper to world renowned pop rock star guitarist and Katie Couric interviewee seemingly overnight. Kanye West has somehow managed to convert his rapping obsession with MEGA high-end fashion icon Louis Vuitton into an actual, profitable deal with the company, something many a rapper has tried but has not managed to actually accomplish thus far, at that level at least. Beyonce replaces Marilyn Monroe in her serenade of the Nations Commander in Chief, and the list goes on... Positions are succumbing left and right to Blacks “for the first time” or seemingly to keep up with some kind of trend. Seems like Blacks are not only now receiving the time of day from main stream America, but getting the Presidential Rolex along with it. Are these all simply the long overdue spoils of battle from the “Black struggle” here in the west? Is all the hard work of our revolutionary predecessors during the civil rights era finally paying off? Is the booming minority populace in America forcing the traditional “controlling class” into “change”? Or are we simply the latest victims a passing trend in America... destined for discrimination and ambiguity once again? I think we’ll definitely have to get the good Reverend Professor H.W. Weatherby in on this one as we serve up yet another dish from the ever curious mind of the Specta!!!
