Dr. Richard Boon, University of Georgia How to Help Teenagers Improve Their Reading Abilities Dr. Richard T. Boon is Associate Editor of the Reading & Writing Quarterly: Overcoming Learning Difficulties and an Associate Professor of Special Education at the University of Georgia. Dr. Boon has taught special education in Virginia, has published a variety of scholarly articles, and has spoken at an array of local and international conferences. He earned his master’s degree from Purdue University and his doctorate from George Mason University. He specializes in helping children with mild to moderate disabilities develop the strategies they need to overcome learning problems.
