As we progress economically, politically and socially, many Africans believe that Black History has become an unnecessary celebration, that discourages us from desiring to learn Black History outside of the 28 days. Has Black History Month become so trivial that African Americans find no interest in celebrating? ...This week we welcome Dr. Kimberly Brown; African American historian, assistant professor of history at Alabama State University, former Goldman Sachs Multicultural Fellow at the Smithsonian Institute National Museum of American History & founder of Blackberry Preserve.  Dr. Brown will join us to talk about the stigmas associated with Black History Month, and her own initiatives towards keeping Black history fresh and fun...Let's discuss!
