This afternoon we have the honor of interviewing Lisa Goodwin, owner of Rise Well-Being Center in Reston, VA. Today she will discuss her mission & she is fulfilling her dream. Lisa will talk about how Rise is different from many other healing centers. A little bit about Lisa:

In 2014, while connecting to nature at the Capon Springs Resort in West Virginia, Lisa Goodwin experienced the vision of a nature-centered healing space.

Over the next few years, while studying the body’s energy system and various healing modalities, she set out to actualize her vision by creating an indoor environment with healing elements she experienced in nature.

Having a Master of Science Degree in Information Systems, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce and prior corporate experience, Goodwin developed a for-profit business based on the model of “conscious capitalism” formulated by John MacKay and Raj Sisodia. With the belief in a purpose beyond profit, she created an indoor environment that reflects the healing energy of nature and conspired to bring more well-being to all those who come in contact with her center. On March 1, 2018, she opened Rise Well-Being Center in Reston, VA.  Its purpose is to provide restorative tools in a natural community environment that gives participants an immersive journey to uplift, restore balance and renew overall well-being. Soothing sounds, beautiful sights, unique textures and scents delight all the senses upon entering the Center.

The Center has a variety of unique offerings including mindful-movement, Qigong, yoga, meditation, sound healing, and wellness classes. The Center also provides personal attention and support through private one-on-one sessions with trained, compassionate professionals. The indoor garden area is a welcoming space to relax and replenish.
