This what Sedat has to say about himself: I have always had an interest in art and writing but never liked to write. Starting with fitness and nutrition I learned how to shape my body to what I wanted and also about the principles of nutrition in regards to fitness. This eventually lead me into an interest in health overall. Somewhere along the line I got involved with a situation that opened me more to the negative things that began a downward spiral in my life. I was subject to a loss of thousands of dollars over the course of about a year, in 2004. This involved theft of what I considered large sums of money on multiple occasions, my car being stripped in the parking lot, the death of my best friend in 2005, illness that I had to abruptly face myself, and other circumstantial hardships that I was not at all prepared to face. I learned about the mind and its influence on our circumstances and lives, the effects of certain associations that we have with others and our environments and the effects we have on ourselves in reference to thoughts and emotions. Here is Anne’s story: After becoming ill, I kept trying to turn my sickness into lemonade, when it wasn't working I realized that I may have been using the wrong ingredients. My illness began in 1993 , I was eventually diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1998 along with a few other things, but one of my major issues were cognitive blocks due to the Fibromyalgia. Although my pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts was interrupted, I never lost my passion for helping people. I have since received against all cognitive odds, several certifications in many aspects of Alternative Health Care.   This has been quite a feat in itself. I like to think that I have become an inspiration to others through natural healing work, mentoring and volunteer work.  I can now add to that  list being an accomplished Author! When I first got sick I kept hoping that I would simply bounce right out of bed and go back to being the mom that my kids were used to having. When that didn't happen I allowed the guilt to really take over and lost the most important ingredient to delicious "lemonade," just plain old- fashioned consistency. Once this ingredient was added the lemonade was ready. As my lemons  have finally been turned into lemonade with the publication of: "I GUESS MY MOM IS PRETTY SPECIAL,"  by the way, I might mention that my book was first copywritten in 2000.  However, I am still as passionate about my dream as ever. So never give up on your dreams, because they certainly do come true! 00:27:00Speak2bfreenoTLL Publishing,Writing,Motivational speaking,Inspiration,Anne LoganToday we will be talking to Anne Logan; she is a motivational speaker, author and entrepreneur and is the founder of TLL Publishing. For over 20 years, Elizabeth has explored her own soul calling by indulging her passions. She has trained with a prominent mystic in the Midwest, studied yoga with the masters in India, visited both Buddhist monasteries and Hindu temples, and trekked through the Himalayas. Today on Speak 2B Free radio we are interviewing Jade Barbee, an EFT Trainer and Practitioner and asking him how EFT can help writers in their careers, their creativity and most importantly with abundance and money. This is what Jade has to say about EFT: "EFT helps me everyday in ways that completely surprise me. When I find myself off in the weeds – feeling bad – it is my “go to” strategy for moving through personal challenges, attracting fulfilling abundance and living life as authentically as I possibly can. Do I always feel like doing it? No! But when I remember to use it, EFT helps me get back on the horse when I fall, keeps me stretching comfortably, and gives me the ease and confidence to approach all of my goals more effortlessly. It is satisfying for me to help you connect with your higher power and your deeper physical and emotional knowing. By feeling better about whatever you are experiencing now—and by acknowledging and deeply transforming hurts and negative self-talk with these techniques—I believe that anything is possible." I was subject to a loss of thousands of dollars over the course of about a year, in 2004. I then had to face problems involving my direct associations with people that. I felt like there was a curse on me due to the repetitive consecutive streaks of what some call bad luck. This involved theft of what I considered large sums of money on multiple occasions, my car being stripped in the parking lot, the death of my best friend in 2005, illness that I had to abruptly face myself, and other circumstantial hardships that I was not at all prepared to face. During the course of all the stress I ended up in the mindset of needing answers and was facing desperation for them. I learned about the mind and its influence on our circumstances and lives, the effects of certain associations that we have with others and our environments and the effects we have on ourselves in reference to thoughts and emotions. I began to realize that the interests and the ideas that I would come up with because of what I came across would then somehow attract to me other things which were much different but still corresponded with the previous things I had realized. This will be a truly amazing interview. This what Nicole has to say:  Heaven and Hell are nothing more than a state of mind and to live our lives in fear of damnation is the epitomy of what Hell is, to me. These are all ideas that resonate within me and I would never riducule anyone for believing otherwise as we are all one and there are as many truths as there are people. This is why poetry is so important to me. We can't always tell a conditioned mind to release the dogma or programming as it is usually followed by anger and rejection. However, people relate to poetry and it is much more comfortable for people to accept the information if it is delivered in an artistic form. I want to awaken people to the understanding that we are ALL divine creators and once we drop the attachments and addictions to needing some all mighty being to save us from this so called "cruel world", then we lose the victim mentality and truly learn to experience our higher selves as we are meant to. We learn that the past is "his-story" and the future is an illusion. The only thing that matters is this very moment. Reality is Now. I feel that poetry helps others stop whatever they were stressing over, and they get lost in an artistic expression, even if it is only for a moment. I have come to the understanding that we are only as evolved individually as the collective. When enough of us awaken to our true potential and start consciously creating and truly seeing ourselves as part of the whole then we will see heaven and earth collide. We are the whole and the fractal. We are the macrocosm and the microcosm, the alpha and omega.  00:29:00Speak2bfreenoPoetry,Writing,Spirituality,Metaphysics,CreativityOur guest for this evening is Nicole Strantz who is going to talk to us about her spiritual journey and how she uses poetry to release share her truth. At nine years old, she often told spooky stories to her younger brother. But it wasn't until she was "grown-up" that she caught the story fever. Dianne says, "I have always loved stories and grew up immersed in books. I always knew that I wanted to write books for children and I knew this as a young child. What I didn't know was that storytelling would not only take me there but it was the vehicle through which I would really learn how to 'make' a good story, both orally and eventually, in print." Volunteering as a storyteller on Saturdays at her local library, Dianne fell in love with the art and honed her skills. With the encouragement of Andrea Taylor, the children's librarian, and the support of her family, Dianne began exploring a career as a professional storyteller. Dianne performs arts-in-education programs and residencies at schools, libraries, festivals, museums, and special events. Interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, Dianne is a sought-after national speaker and workshop leader. She is an enthusiastic advocate of literacy and arts-in-education programming. Dianne de Las Casas continues to make the story connection with thousands of children, parents, educators and librarians every year, reaching and teaching through the art of storytelling. WDS was the second organization to place a literary journal on the web--the first being Mississippi Review. Since that time, WDS has served content to millions of readers worldwide, and links lead to WDS content from over 40,000 other websites. While bringing the best in contemporary literature to the world via Internet, WDS worked closely with the ACLU and other plantiffs in 2000 and 2001 to successfully defeat Internet censorship laws instigated by Evangelicals and the conservative right in battleground states like Michigan and Arizona. Later, as WDS continued to grow, several journals and literary projects formed and grew with it, including but not limited to Del Sol Press, The Potomac Journal of Poetry and Politics, Del Sol Review, In Posse Review, Double Room, Perihelion, 5_Trope, and La Petite Zine. WDS has been featured or reviewed in everything from Chronicle of Higher Education to Poets and Writers to the New York Times. During the past five years, WDS has expanded in every way imaginable. WDS now offers its readership not only literary journals but metazines, blogs, video, music, culture sites, and cinema arts. Asked to write a bio about himself George wrote the following: "Back in the early 90's I was fortunate enough to have some articles published in the trade journals of my chosen profession (Emergency Medical Services). I had no idea at that time how important this was. I had a couple of years of successful writing projects and then I got busy operating a paramedic school and I ignored my writing career. If I said we're going to fast forward 15 years then I would be skipping over an entire chunk of my life. It's probably good enough to say that writing was always a tickle in the back of my brain, but I had the unwieldy combination of not knowing how to start laced with a bit of fear. Fear of what, I'm not sure. Success, failure, being laughed at, the unknown, who knows. Most likely all of the above. So, two years ago I started taking hesitant writing steps and over the past few months those steps have turned into leaps. I've been writing web content for a number of sites, I've gotten about 50 pages done on my novel, researched and obtained several freelance writing projects and opened my storefront on the World Wide Web. I've managed to publish several e-Books at Smashwords.com. These are primarily Flash Fiction and they're a lot of fun. I have an ebook on writing over at Amazon.com and I had an article published in Alaska Magazine last year. I have a novel in the works as well as a couple of Children's Books. I live in Palmer Alaska with my wonderful seven year-old daughter Maddy." 00:43:00Speak2bfreenoprofessional writers, tumblemoose, slam poetry, spoken word poetry, resources for writersToday we will be interviewing professional writer and founder of tumblemoose.com, George Angus. Isis Storm© is an endeavor started by Reza Clifton and Kalyana Champlain to bring attention to local women artists who deserve to have their voices heard while also educating the community on media literacy and current issues to further the development of women. They do so through on line media (www.isisstorm.com). The mission of ISIS STORM is to bring forth those voices that are being neglected; to be a vehicle to the generations of women who are fed up with seeing and accepting someone else’s definitions of who they are; and to give attention to the generations of women who are awakening to the realization that they are more than what [their generation] sees. It is the goal of Isis Storm to bring the voices to the table that have long since been ignored, both ethnically and in gender. If you are down for supporting this cause visit the website at www.isisstorm.com. If you are a sister who is interested in getting involved and either beginning your own Isis Storm endeavor where you are or joining the Rhode Island Chapter you can contact Kaly or Reza by emailing : beginthestorm@gmail.com.01:31:00Speak2bfreenohip hop, public relations, recording artists,Storytellers, spoken word poetsSpeak 2B Free is interviewing Kaklyanna Champlain and Reza Clifton, the founders of Isis Storm.
