A sovereign is a supreme lawmaking authority. A sovereign is not subject to contract, for a sovereign is the author of contract. The sovereign is not subject to law, for a sovereign is the author of law. Ontology is the philosophical study of the nature of being, existence or reality in general, as well as of the basic categories of being and their relations.
