SHOW AIRS LIVE ON SUNDAY, JAN. 4, 2009 - 11AM-1PM PST

    MEET OUR GUESTS
Rob Huizenga, M.D. – Doctor Behind the hit NBC show, ‘The Biggest Loser’
Obesity is a killer, accounting for over 300,000 deaths a year in the US alone. The book “Where Did All The Fat Go?” is based on new scientific obesity research gathered by the doctor behind the NBC TV show, The Biggest Loser. Although many diets work in the short term, none has proven effective over a long period. On the contrary, “dieting” often results in weight gain several months or years after the initial weight loss. This book shows you how to reach your dream weight safely and effectively – and stay there! A graduate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Huizenga has been Chief Resident as Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and is currently Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at UCLA. He is also in private practice in Beverly Hills, California. He has appeared as a health expert on many network news and interview shows and has testified as a medical expert in a number of high-profile trials. In addition to The Biggest Loser, his television and movie consulting credits include Extreme Makeover, Work-Out, Student Body and Into the Wild.

Lisa Marie Platske – Author of ‘Designing Your Destiny: Achieving Personal & Professional Success through Upside Thinking’
Lisa Marie Platske, Chief Excellence Officer of international leadership development company Upside Thinking, Inc., is a dynamic speaker, leadership/business coach, and author who is transforming the face of business one leader at a time. She inspires and equips professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs to clarify their vision, recognize the possibilities in and around them, and use Upside Thinking principles to achieve long-lasting financial and personal success.  Known for her contagious high energy and cutting-edge leadership strategies, Lisa Marie is changing the way leaders approach their personal and professional lives and facilitating more happiness, success, and meaning in the lives of those who heed her message

Gregory McNamee – Author of ‘Otero Mesa: Preserving America’s Wildest Grassland
In January of 2005, the Bureau of Land Management approved a plan to drill more than one hundred new wells on Otero Mesa, a pristine grassland in southern New Mexico. What followed was an extensive international activist effort that exposed the public to the environmental threats, including wildlife decimation and groundwater contamination, posed by oil drilling on this unique natural wonder. Otero Mesa’s fate is yet undecided, the case resting in federal courts. Otero Mesa takes readers on a narrative and photographic journey of this half-million acres of unfettered grassland that is home to migratory songbirds, rare native pronghorns, prairie dogs, and stunning visual scenery.

Donald Greco – Author of ‘Abramo’s Gift’
Set in the 1920's in Youngstown, Ohio, the home of mills, mines and factories, Abramo’s Gift by Donald Greco, is a fast paced novel that addresses the prejudices and struggles our Irish and Italian immigrants faced while trying to build a new life in America. As gangs were formed, dirty politics and corruption was rampant, ghettos sprung up. Racial differences were intense and living conditions for some were objectionable, to say the least. Author Donald Greco discovered the social and racial prejudices taking place in America at an early age. Born in 1940 to an Irish-American mother and an Italian-American father, he witnessed firsthand society’s disapproval surrounding his parents’ marriage.

Mitchell R. Miller – Estate Planning For You
Mitchell Miller has been a tax lawyer for over 30 years and is a California State Bar Certified Specialist in Taxation and a CPA in Pennsylvania. Mitch has handled numerous major estate plans, and specializes on utilizing the most up-to-date financial planning information coupled with sensitivity to family concerns.  Mitch is joining us to explain why a ‘Will Is Not Enough to Protect Your Family," to discuss the value of estate planning, and how it saves loved ones time, legal costs and hassle.
