Southern Sense is conservative talk on news and events, with Annie "The Radio Chick" Ubelis as host.

This show is dedicated to the Kendall & Hanson crews, 449th Bomb Group, who were MIA in two separate B-24 crashes during WWII.  Their remains were discovered, buried in Italy and have not yet been returned home.  http://449th.org/kendallhanson_petition.php

Part of the 15th Air Force, 47th Wing, the 449th Bomb Group was composed of four Squadrons -- the 716th, 717th, 718th, and 719th. The 449th was activated on 1 May 1943 at Davis-Monthan Field near Tucson, Arizona. The 449th operated from Grottaglie from January 1944 until the end of the war in Europe in May 1945. From Grottaglie,  Field near Taranto, Italy.  The 449th flew a total of 254 combat missions against targets in central and eastern Europe. In the spring of 1944, Jewish organizations begged for the Allies to bomb the Auscgwitz facilities and railways used to transport the Jews there.

Today we tell that story!
