Martin Melaver is a principal and founder of Melaver McIntosh. From 1992 – 2009, Martin served as CEO of Melaver, Inc., a real estate business devoted solely to sustainable principles and practices. Martin received a BA from Amherst College. He holds a Masters and PhD from Harvard University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. He is a past Fulbright scholar to Tel Aviv University, a recipient of a Mellon fellowship to Jesus College, Cambridge University, and a Lady Davis Fellowship to Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He is the author of Living Above the Store and The Green Building Bottom Line. He has been a featured/keynote speaker at numerous conferences and guest lecturer at Harvard, Dartmouth, and other academic institutions. Martin as well as his former company have been the recipient of several dozen local, regional and national awards for work in the area of sustainable real estate, including the prestigious Argon award for visionary leadership of the environment. Martin is the immediate past board chair of the Georgia Conservancy, is on the national board of COEJL, on the Board of Councilors of the Carter Center, and is a board member of the Ossabaw Island Foundation and the Savannah Country Day School. Melaver McIntosh is a development-consulting company focused on sustainability planning, designing, and building to revitalize our urban-core communities.
