Sigrid Wagner is a certified teacher of both the Alexander Technique and Yoga, and is passionately interested in the application of AT to Yoga to promote safe, effortless movement and unencumbered breathing. She qualified to teach at the Alexander Training Institute of Los Angeles in the mid-1990s, and currently serves there as a member of the faculty. Sigrid began her Yoga studies at the age of 16 and received her initial certification to teach Yoga in the tradition of Sri T. Krishnamacharya in 1981 from Cheryl Harriman, a student of Indra Devi. She was subsequently certified by the Krishnamacharya Healing and Yoga Foundation and counts among her teachers Gary Kraftsow, Sonia Nelson and T.K.V. Desikachar. Sigrid is also a long-term student and teacher of Vedic Chanting.

The study of historical musicology at UCLA, biochemistry and pre-med at Cal Poly SLO, CSULB, and the University of Maryland, and Sanskrit and Indian philosophy at the University of Heidelberg in Germany comprise her formal educational background. Sigrid resides in Redondo Beach, with her dog, two cats, and nine turtles.
