    Step Up to the Mic...Speak Your Minds On Our September 3rd SoulSistas "Live" Radio Show!!

    Hey Ya’ll…

     

    Here we go again, and this time we’re just going to pass the mic around and let you have your say.  Say what…free speech???  Yeah, that’s right, it’s your time to express yourselves…speak your minds…claim your voice and share your thoughts and feelings on our topic…”I Am That I Am, And, I’m Just Me”

     

    What this is really about is how we view ourselves...our persona...the image we project vs. the image we wish to project to others (family, friends, associates, online family, youth, etc.). More importantly, how does our being a womyn of color and lesbian, bi, butch, femme, transgender, intersexed, etc. impact our self-image and acceptance among others in the LGBT+ community?


    We will hit the hard issues around our sexuality and other aspects of our existence and I hope that you will begin to think about how you feel about these issues and prepare to join us in the dialogue.


    Finally, we will tie this discussion into personal empowerment and how we can achieve that while fully accepting and embracing who we are...

SoulSistas “Live” is the brainchild of our online community SoulSistas of Sappho, and our talk radio show is the portal by which we can celebrate, embrace and support the phenomenal lives, talent and artistry of lesbians of color. SoulSistas “Live” is hosted by Flavr!!

SoulSistas of Sappho believes that there lives within each of us a poet, artist, activist, mother, and lover. SoulSistas of Sappho celebrates the legacy of Sappho and Her style which was sensual and melodic; primarily songs of love, yearning, and reflection. Sappho nurtured womyn, sensuously, erotically, politically, and spiritually. Sappho has become so synonymous with woman-love that two of the most popular words to describe female homosexuality--lesbian and sapphic have derived from her.

We are an empowering community for adult lesbians of color (18 years and over), which embraces and is dedicated to nurturing artistic expression, political, and spiritual diversity and development and celebration of individuality. Although primarily a group for lesbians of color, we have extended it to those who support us as well.

SoulSistahs is a Censor Free environment where our members may openly express themselves, their art, share, learn and grow.
