Have you ever struggled with your sexuality and religious or spiritual beliefs? Do you find yourself wondering if you are acceptable in God's eyes? Does your past programming and conditioning around religion and homosexuality prevent you from fully accepting and embracing your sexuality? If this is the case, then you will want to join us for our upcoming show on July 2nd as we tackle this challenging topic with our featured guest, Reverend Marilyn Bowens, Pastor of MCC Church New Haven, CT. This is sure to be an empowering and enlightening discussion, as she shares her personal experiences, wisdom and knowledge in developing the theme "Bridging the Gap: Integrating Religion, Spirituality & Sexuality" Regarding her own journey and struggle with these issues, Rev. Bowens says "After resolving my crisis around these issues, I felt a clear sense of call to the ministry...". When asked about what drives her in her ministry, she said, "I have a deep passion around the injuries inflicted on this population in mainstream churches; and proclaiming the good news to them that we are not despised and rejected by God. We can live and love as the people we were created to be; and we can do so in peaceful personal relationship with God. The rest of my life is devoted to that ministry". So, mark your calendars and join us on July 2nd at 6:00 PM (EST) for this powerful show...you'll be glad you did!! ~Flavr & theLuvleLady~
