The Bible on Trial  

Hello All,
Through various means it has come to our attention here at Spirit of Truth Ministry that some of our listeners are concerned that we have gone overboard in declaring an attitude of "The words of Jesus Christ ONLY". Why not use other sources in the New Testament to confirm our faith and belief in Jesus Christ? Why not use the writings of others, both ancient and modern, who are not eyewitnesses to the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, especially if they claim that they are of God. The answer boils down to this; we are not willing to place our very salvation in the hands of anyone BUT Jesus Christ. However valid or inspiring someone else is they cannot possibly do for us what Jesus Christ did for us in giving us the opportunity for making our overcoming sin meaningful by giving us the Truth. It damages nothing to take this position, and in this position we have found great comfort from knowing that no matter what Jesus Christ CANNOT lie. Anyone other than Him has, at the very least, the potential to be a deception or lie. Are you willing to place your eternal life in the hands of someone other than the Son of God?
