Hank Howe was Born in Harlem, New York and raised in the South Bronx, started in music as a DJ for local parties and fashion shows. Hank was persuaded by his fellow DJ to play the Bass during a conversation one night while doing a show. He later purchased a bass and started his journey and began learning. Hank playing was greatly influenced from listening to groups like Earth, Wind & Fire, Parliament Funkadelic, Weather Report, Spyro Gyra, Grover Washington Jr. , Jeff Lorber Fusion , Stanley Clarke and The Brothers Johnson just to name a few. Later he played with local bands and became Bassist for a Top 40 Funk R& B Group called "Eternity" and the Funk Fusion Band "New World" with Keyboardist Cecil Hodge, Guitarist Russell Booker, Violinist Derek Hodge and Drummer Todd Tariq Snare. After leaving "New World" he began playing Bass and writing original music with Grammy Nominated Smooth Jazz Keyboardist Bob Baldwin, and was a session Bassist for Lenis Guess Records, New York. and recorded Bass on Lenis Guess's R & B hit album titled "I Keep Coming Back For More". In December 2007 Hanks Dream Band featuring Xeal ,which was an experimental project with San Antonio Keyboardist Johnny Castro produced a hit Single Mystic Warrior that reached number 6 on the cashboxmagazine.com Indie World Charts Top Ten holding for 5 weeks.
