Beautiful photo of the house! Where was it taken? After we spent money on the business cards for show, now a cost to broadcast? Take care.

Sharing Wisdom::Impatience can easily lead to unhappiness because the focus is on what we do not have. Instead, let’s appreciate what we do have, continue to work for what we want, and believe that we will eventually get what we desire or possibly something even better. That’s practicing patience.

    Mardi Gras Music continues

Please stop by for the fastest 30 minutes in radio. Will not take calls (sorry to my buddy last week!) as I am trying to talk little myself except to tell song titles. I will organize some music and mix it up with a Cajun song or two, some brass songs, and well, a gumbo of bands. Should open with big Cajun dance tune "Grand Mamou".

  • Original Air Date:

Jazz & Swing, NOLA Based Tunes

Photobucket Some uptempo dance tunes based on swing and old jazz songs. Intro song was first recorded in 1918, Dixieland tune "Fidgety Feet". Then a couple of songs by Glenn Miller to kick off the show. Then on to NOLA based party tunes ala Mardi-Gras songs. Put on some dancing shoes, grab an umbrella and "Second Line" around the house. More songs, less talk. That sounds like an old FM station's promo years ago. I can promise you no commercial breaks, or traffic and weather reports, during my show, lol. How's that? Quick 30 minute show.

  • Original Air Date:

Old Jazz From lyricist Andy Razaf and others

A 30 minute jukebox featuring some music written by Andy Razaf and others. Performed by Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, and various classic early Jazz musicians. Will play Razaf's(what did I do to be so) "Black and Blue"--one of the first songs about living as a black man in a white man's world, "Honeysuckle Rose" and "Ain't Misbehavin". And a couple other songs from this time period.

  • Original Air Date:

    Mardi Gras Taste of Music

Ok, the dreary dark days and the fog, gave me a craving for some New Orleans music. Join me for a quick fix of NOLA music to get you in the mood for Mardi Gras in February. So Fat Tuesday is Feb. 24th but the parties have begun for the parades in NO but I am in Ohio, and just playing the music of the season, so to speak.**CORRECTION** Fidgety Feet was played by Bob Crosby's Bob Cats not the brass band I mentioned.
