Docta Mark

We live in distorted times. Our social world has been expanded and extended to the point where our everyday lives are no longer self-contained. The question we face now is not about 'finding ourselves'. We're already everywhere. Our job is to uncover what we're willing to shed in order to evolve, both personally and collectively. The show introduces three intertwined resources that break down self-limiting patterns, habits and conditioning we all internalize without ever knowing it.

Here's how the show flows...and ebbs...we explore both sides of that wave...;)

We use the hour to respond to the comments posted on our Naked Soma blog. http://nakedsoma.blogspot.com/ - We post the Monday prior to each new show.

The idea is to use fresh examples from pop culture that are bubbling to the surface as a jumping off point to discuss the signatures and cues we need to tune into to optimize our lives each week. The way we do that by engaging in a raw, unfiltered open and often provocative conversation. You'll meet experts from a wide variety of fields, but they won't be talking heads, we promise. We surf the web during the show and keep track of the instant feedback we get on our AIM account. The show thrives and gets it's energy from feedback, so be prepared to join in the fun.  We even offer 'somascopes' as part of the show, so you can apply your newfound awareness of The 4 Domains to your entire social circle. By adopting our cultural shorthand, many of the hassles of daily living naturally lose their power over you. Our aim is to help people face the world with a more fluid identity so they can embrace and accept the light and dark side of their nature...

"Riff On This!" is hosted by the three people behind Naked Soma. Dr. Mark Filippi brings you into the realm of somatic perception, where you can discover how the culture captures your attention and how to navigate that moment.  You'll also learn how to align your verbal and nonverbal communication through an awareness of The 4 Domains. Professor Valerie Schott will address how to begin to clean up your emotional environment by going beyond where your belief system can protect you from change. Dr. Jeb Thurmond will then provide some long term ways to sustain these positive gains by re-establishing a relationship with your natural rhythms of self-expression through the principles of the wellness lifestyle. If this all sound serious and dry...LOL -- just tune into the first five minutes. This is a party!
