Another "1st" for The Soldiers Family! Today we will be on a guided tour of the World Famous "HARLEY-DAVIDSON" Motorcycle Headquaters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! WE will also be talking about how H-D gives back to our Military around the world including The Harley Davidson Foundation.Harley-Davidson Foundation and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) In 2010, the Harley-Davidson Foundation made a second $1 million grant to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) to support our nation's heroes through the Harley’s Heroes® program. Harley-Davidson’s relationship with the DAV dates to 2006, when the Harley-Davidson Foundation made a prior $1 million grant to the organization. Harley’s Heroes brings benefits, education, and counseling to veterans in communities all across the United States through the DAV Mobile Service Office (MSO). The DAV MSO program increases veterans’ accessibility to benefits by literally putting service offices on the road. Since 2007, this program sponsored by Harley-Davidson -- dubbed Harley’s Heroes -- has visited thousands of sites across the United States, providing important counseling and assistance to help tens of thousands of veterans and their families secure the benefits to which they are entitled from the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense, and other government agencies. The MSOs are staffed by highly trained professional DAV counselors who are skilled experts in developing and prosecuting veterans’ claims.Got a question about the show?
