    Date / Time:

Joined by the Mighty Mecca discussing Morehouse crossdressers, College Queen Hair dilemmas!!!

Morehouse President Franklin has put his foot down about being homosexual on campus.  His take is that homosexual men on campus must be accepted and that discrimination is not acceptable.  We commend him for speaking out.  On the other hand he's putting the lock on the dress code. To date there are a group of students who have been dressing like women on campus....yep, like women.

Now I don't know about you but if you decided to go to an HBCU that is private and male than why do you want to dress like a woman?  Spelman is across the street...you can't get in there....hmmmm There are a million places in Atlanta that cater to men who choose to dress like women.  I am sooo not hatin' on these guys.  My issue is why cause an issue where there isn't one?  Ring in folks. Let me know where you're at with this.

On the other end of the spectrum, Essence Magazine's November issue gives a full page to Ms. Shampale Williams, Vorhees Universities, Campus Queen. Last spring she was voted in with braids in her hair.  After winning, she felt pressured by the schools administration to do something more “acceptable” with it. Honestly, African American women have come entirely too far for some “old school” minded folks stuck on what beauty was “forced” to be way back when to dictate what is beautiful now!

Come on people let us hear what you have to say...
