Hi, you asked for crock pot recipes kids will like. I haven't any so far (and we don't have kids yet), but I bought all four of Leanne's crock cooker e-books yesterday and maybe can give you an advice if they might worth buying for you? Happy FLYing!!

Hey! I read your reply. I haven't got around to replying on there lol. Things have gotten better; some of it was misunderstandings. It's not perfect, but my dad is at least paying bills on time, so that's good :)

Hi! I'm 27 and I'm from STL, a stay at home mom to two little ones with a fiance to boot. We like to think of ourselves as "hip" parents (he's a tattoo artist), and are trying to achieve a good mix of this and a bit of June Cleaver. I love getting messages so send me some!

    getting a new car

today we are getting a new car.  Well, I say car, but it's actually an suv kind of thing.  a 1994 Ford Explorer.  The Corolla we have been driving finally gave out completely, which is actually a good thing.  We really wanted a new vehicle but needed a real reason to get one.  Here is a short list of things wrong with our old car.

    Large dent in driver door
Driver door black, rest of car green
Driver door handle broke on outside
Driver window broke (can't be rolled down)
Driver door handle broke on inside. (yes, INSIDE ALSO!  we have to get in on the passenger side and climb over.)
    No driver side mirror
Trunk does not open, does not appear to be closed all the way either, so we constantly have people honking at us and saying "your trunk is open!"

well, that about does it for the outside of the car....
back seat- covered in a gummy candy coating of some sort, from two years of my daughter leaving scraps under her carseat and them melting in the heat.
cd player doesn't play cd's, radio only picks up 3 channels
lining on the ceiling is hanging so far down I get caught on it everytime I have to crawl over the passenger to get to the drivers seat.

I guess that's about it....we're keeping the car, of course, and one day we'll try to fix it so we'll have two cars....wonder which one I'll get stuck with....

    zombie

today I am a zombie.  I am green, with greasy, drippy skin.  I eat brains.
Okay, not really.  But I am suffering from the dreaded (deep, booming commercial voice here) FIBRO-FOG!  I cannot think right today, its the strangest feeling.  I just stared at the tv for like two hours before I remembered that the baby was crawling around the house somewhere!  Luckily, we are baby-proof, and I found him playing quietly in his sister's room.  It's not like I'm deep in thought, it's more like being shallow in thought, if that makes sense?  Like thinking would just require too much energy...and I have none today.  Looking around me, every room needs work today....and yet I still sit, not thinking.  I know many of you flybabies out there know what I'm talking about, but for those who don't it's kind of like when you "zone out" for a minute, well think about being like that all day, just feeling disconnected.  Remember those commercials where the people got "medicine-head"? They took too much cold medicine and got that groggy, disconnected feeling?  That's me!
Wow, I've been working on this blog for like an hour,  I gotta get up and get moving somehow!
    Brains......

things I have learned, and you should know

I have grown very wise in the last few years, wise in the ways of the world...and I would like to share some of my knowledge with you all.
Yes, I have posted this before....give me a break!  I'm not that creative, okay?

    1. Men think that painting skateboards and hanging them on the wall is art.

    2. Don't send that same man to the grocery store with a 3 yr old because they will come back with ice cream sandwiches, pizza rolls and cotton candy. true story.

    3. Spongebob is on all the freakin' time. It's on Nick, or as I like to call it, the all spongebob channel.

    4. Sophie won't eat if you call it dinner or lunch, you have to say it's a snack.

    5. Baby puke stains the couch.

    6. Band-Aids are hard to get off the bottom of your favorite slippers.

    7. Toys somehow end up in the drawer of the refrigerator.

    8. Gerbils are extremely messy, and the 3 yr old will not clean up after them.

    9. Two adults and one child can sleep in a queen sized bed fairly comfortably.

    10. Coffee is a wonderful drug.

    11. When you try to take a relaxing, candle-lit bath by yourself, your 3 yr old will stay in the bathroom with you so "you won't be scared". And she somehow always weasels her way into my bath!!!

    12. My boyfriend can be super sweet, he made me that wonderful candle-lit bath, with a glass of wine and a book too!

    13. A 3 yr old girl and a 28 yr old man both think farts are freakin' hilarious. It's like a brand new joke to them every time.

    14. Donnie likes macaroni and cheese with every meal, every night.

    15. Your 3 yr old will point to the goth cashier at Shop n Save and say "why is she dressed like Halloween?"

    16. The baby wants to be held at the exact same time you sit down to dinner.

    17. Don't forget to cook the pasta.

    18. Dvd's make great ice scrapers for your windshield.

    19. It's hard to find really good friends.

    20. Moms have the best stories!

I know there's more, but another thing I have learned is that my memory is slipping, give me some time and I'll put some more up.

    reaching for a subject

I LOVE blogging.  Problem is, I have absolutely nothing to say most of the time....in conversation I'm quick-witted, but when I'm by myself my brain turns to mush and I can't piece words together.  Especially words that end up sounding interesting or funny.  Hmmmm, let's see, we're having sloppy joes for dinner....but that isn't very funny is it?
oh!  I will tell you a funny story.  My daughter will kill me in 10 years for remembering this one but it's too funny to keep to myself!
My dh was taking the wallpaper down when we were moving into the house, and he was spraying vinegar onto the walls to help the glue come off.  My daughter was "helping".  Dh took a break, wiped his forehead and noticed that his hands smelled like vinegar.  "Sophie, my hands stink!" he said to our daughter.  "My hands stink too!"  She said, putting her fingers up to her nose.  "Oh yeah, why do your hands stink?"  he asked.  "Because I put them in my butt crack!" was the response.  She's 4.  Now isn't that funny?

    things on my kitchen table

what's on your kitchen table? a tablecloth?  a vase with flowers or some other centerpiece?
    here's what's on mine-

    3 empty grocery bags,
an open box of nutty bars,
     a naked barbie,
     dh's shirt (?),
     my purse,
     2 half eaten nutty bars,
5 plates with varying crumbs on them,
a glass half full of soda (or half empty? hmmm),
     a jar of peanut butter,
my daughters juice box-half full and from yesterday,
a receipt for something I probably didn't need,
a spongebob place mat somewhere under all that stuff,
     a red colored pencil,
the crust from my dd's sandwich (why she won't eat the crust I'll never understand),
     and 4 candles.

     hmmmmm.....guess I've been neglecting a little bit!
I almost feel cleansed of my sins now that I got this out!
