Controversial Biblical Scripture:

The Christian Religion is full of contradictory scripture.  The Ten Commandments reads "Though Shall Not Kill and Though Shall Not Covet thy Neighbors Wife" among other things, and yet there is coveting and killing being performed by God's chosen people.   However, in 2 Samuel 11 we read about King David committing adultery then having the woman's husband killed upon discovering that she is pregnant with King David's child.  In spite of all this, King David is still referred to "A Man After God's Heart."

Another disturbing scripture is in Exodus.  In the story of the Passover, God killed all of the first-born children in Egypt as he carried out his wrath on the families of those who enslaved the Jews.  Why did God kill the children to punish their parents, why did the children have to pay for their parent's unjust deeds?
