The Indians control their own destiny as they maintain possession of one of the two available wild card spots in the American League and they have taken advantage in sweeping the lowly Astros and taking care of business against the White Sox. With only four games in Minnesota standing between them and the postseason.

In other news, the Dodgers, Red Sox, A's and Braves have all clinched titles in their respective divisions. The Dodgers' celebration, however, was controversial enough to draw attention to Capitol Hill. Also, Manny Machado suffers injury as Baltimore is eliminated. Plus, Andy Pettitte announces his retirement as the Yankees celebrate the career of Mariano Rivera.
