Dear Chani, I loved the novel "Immortal"; couldn't put it down. One can see from the standpoint of an energy worker, fantasy author and artist all the reasons why Luca is so perfect a creation. He is the epitomy of the archetypical adult molested and abused and/or abandoned as a child. His long life is also so symbolic of the many journies it can take for a soul to sort through the dichotomy of feeling like there is both a cruelly Laughing God and a merciful, loving God...or as one character said (Cosimo?) that perhaps he needed that long life to learn what he had himself learned in his own 60 years. SO many excellent messages in this story, woven together with a skill similar to the Masters this author so clearly appreciates and loves. Brava! I wish I could fly to NY to sit with Traci and her sculptor husband and share visions of art and stories-to-be. :) Traci is booked to appear on the Brass Ovary radio Show on Wednesday April 30th. at 10:45 a.m. EST. I can hardly wait! may peace be the journey, and Kindness Light the way, Adrienne

Dear Chani: I read until the wee hours of the morning last night after laundry and several other necessary tasks. I am up to Chapter 7, I believe; he has just killed Silvano and been cursed by Silvano's son, Niccolo. He is on his way to the Jewish doctor's home, the doctor whose life and daughter's life he saved. I am enjoying the read, but it is a tough novel, and I now understand why many hesitate before my two novels. This is a book that requires attention and focus and depth of knowledge. I find I read it in short stretches, putting it off initially because I knew it would be a hard, but rewarding read. The meandering style is hard for me; I am used to a quicker pace, and I do not relate immediately to the overwhelming Italianness of it--it would be easier for me if it took place in Spain or Latin America. I am engaged though and dying to know what exactly IS the secret of his parentage. Will be in touch wee hours of this morning or sometime Monday to let you know of my progress. Ms. Stratton is definitely a writer of dense, complex novels, and I would love to send her copies of THE JOURNEY and DETECTIVE FICTION. May I send them to you to pass on? Or two sets? copies for you and for her? At any rate, thank you for the opportunity to share Luca's journey ........ Love and blessings and happy Easter if that is your holiday, Dr. Ni

Dear Chani: My sincere apologies for taking so long to get back to you. I read all of the promotional material and am quite impressed with your author's background. Wow! I also have begun reading Immortal, and am going to dive in deeply this afternoon. It is an enticing novel, but I find that I want to sit down to it with all of my sharpest faculties in play because it is dense and I don't want to miss anything important. I will let you know at the end of the day (I am a night owl, so my day may end at 4 a.m.) how far I have gotten and try to give you a ballpark for when I'd like to have Ms. Stratton on. Please, if you can, be patient; this has been a crazy busy week for my business!!!! Sincerely and with eager anticipation, Dr. Ni
