Poet, Mentor ,Role Model ,Spoken Word Artist Poet ,Actress Sum-Thyng Like a Poet which mostly goes by the name S.L.A.P is an passionate performer that just loves doing what she does and is truthful thankful that God has gifted her with the talent. She is part of Blood is Cold She’s on the 2009 Bull City Slam team a finalist for the 2009 Nuyorican slam team S.L.A.P has been featured in North Carolina ,South Carolina Baltimore Maryland, Washington DC, New York and also on the Ella Baker Tour for SNCC , the Green Party events combined with the Southern Anti Racism Network ,Vice President of Silent Myndz, and as had the pleasure to work with the City of Durham (2007 and 2008 Durham’s Art Walk First place winner for the 2009 Bimbe Festival The NCCU Aids /HIV Awareness , SLAP as performed for the Obama Champion 08 in North Carolina and has recently been in an Off Broadway Production Directed by Emit Thrower Called Ghettoery (Between the Bricks) and also performed beside other well known poets you can find her featured on Kdd Kash Mixtape Vol 3. in Durham NC S.L.A.P has a CD out right now called S.L.A.P (Sum-Body Luvz a Poet ) and is currently working on a lot of project one is called The Person behind the Poet a CD coming next year and a book titled 21 Luv Notes due out in Feb.
