Telling on Trixie's Lead Singer Derek Nicoletto on SistersTalk Radio

Their new album, Ugly, Broke & Sober, is a clear artistic breakthrough, displaying the benefits of their hard work, new partnerships and relentless commitment to taking their music to the next level.

(Watch Telling on Trixie's music video "Mad About You")

Founded by lead singer Derek Nicoletto and guitarist Brad Small, Telling on Trixie’s rise has been in no small part due to their ability to think outside the box. Derek says, “Everything we’ve earned in the past year has been from our willingness to put ourselves out there and share who we’re about.”

The results have been tremendous: radio play on over 300 radio stations, live performances on Sirius Satellite Radio for three million listeners, and video play and accolades on MTV’s LOGO network - including Best of 2007, all in support of that year’s the self-titled, debut, self-released CD.

    GayByGod.net Creator on SistersTalk Radio

Pastor Tolton, Harlem’s first openly gay pastor, serves the gay and lesbian community as a voice for spiritual freedom, social justice and economic empowerment. He developed GayByGod.net to encourage GLBT individuals to reclaim the God that religious people have taken away and to create a forum to take on homophobia espoused by the traditional church – particularly the black conservative church. Additionally, the site is a spiritual zone for straight people who seek relief from punitive theology and advocate living and loving in truth.

“I have always loved God and loved the Black Church. One of the most defining issues of my life has been the Church’s damning stance on homosexuality,” said Pastor Tolton. “As a boy, this condemnation shattered my spirit; as an adolescent, this ridicule broke my heart; and as a young adult, this disdain drove me to the brink,” he continued.

Pastor Tolton’s ministry seeks to empower all people with the transformative power of the Gospel and to nurture disciples of Christ in the Pentecostal Apostolic tradition and GayByGod.net its manifestation.

Lovers and Friends Star Nicole Pina on SistersTalk Radio

Nicole Pina stars in The Lovers and Friends Show, the first lesbian web series to feature a cast of same-gender loving women of color.
Nicole Pina was born in Dominican Republic September 15, 1980 to a great family of artists. Her father was a well-known architect, her uncle a famous artist and her grandmother a powerful well respected clothing designer. She grew up in the beautiful city of Santo Domingo, where inspiration is bountiful with its natural wonders, beautiful landscapes and romantic sunsets. Since her mother was a professional model, she spent most of her early childhood traveling from New York to Santo Domingo living with her grandparents, which explains Nicole’s humble, patient, respectful nature. Her middle school years she lived in Boston and began to appreciate the underground scene of artists that thrived in the city. Going to art galleries and teaching after school art classes and helping the children in the community helped her appreciate the arts. When Nicole turned 13 her family moved to Florida. Finally she had a place she felt she identified with. Allured by all the mixed cultures and all the different ways Miami surrounded itself in all different forms of art, she found herself embraced by the gay and lesbian community she related to. Pina joins the cast members of Lovers and Friends in the most amazing experiences of her life while trying to make history.
