Project 1 is a documentary and transcontinental HIV awareness ride. Jamila Gaskins will cycle 12,000 miles (LA to NYC) hitting 25 states and 160 cities. The ride is part of a documentary focused on American women and HIV, empowerment and prevention reaching beyond cultural boundaries because HIV/AIDS affects women from all strata of society. The physical challenges of the road mirror the inspirational stories of HIV+ and – women.
