an endless flowing river
filled with honesty and loyalty
innocence that is rare these days
and in so many ways just so damn refreshing
it hurts to be me knowing all they do is use me
my body is a playground and boy do they play
lie to me just to lay with me
empty promises to my heart to always stay with me
my mind stays twisted with thoughts of endless pleasure
just thoughts because my reality is so unreal
i live for love and dream of being loved
where are you my love
all i find in these men are lies
can't sleep with my pillow anymore because it's soaked
by the tears from my eyes

my love is an ocean these men can't swim
so they say enough to take a dive
and they realize they can't keep the lie going
but my love keeps on flowing
hoping they would see I'm willing to wait it out
give them the benefit of the doubt
but still they just tap out
and here I am alone again
without a man
feeling like i lost my best friend
learning to live
learning to forgive
growing into the woman God intended me to be
while thanking Him repeatedly for loving me
