In hindsight, I have to give God the glory for last nights show. Even though I know people will call in, I am always amazed and grateful. People have so much to say. We are so full...carrying so many different thoughts and ideas that when we come together as a collective, it is sometimes a struggle to be heard. It has become my task to always make sure that we remain true to the topic at hand because somebody needed to be affirmed, validated or lifted last night.
Somebody like Lesly.
It was so ironic that she listened to the show, but waited until the very end to call in. When she asked the question, "How do I love myself when there is so much hatred inside?" I couldn't believe it. And because there were only a few minutes left, no one at the table could really address it.
So because God is God all by himself, and he doesn't need anybody, the only thing I could do was present her question to Him. He has her answer. That is the sovereignty of our God. Yeah, we come to the table and we talk, but in the end, it is not about me, it is about God.
And last night, it was about Lesly.
Let the church say Amen!
