Southern Fried Poetry Slam

From June 8th - 11th, 2011, Atlanta, Georgia, will host the 19th Annual Southern Fried Poetry Slam. The Southern Fried Poetry Slam is the Final Four of competitive poetry and has grown to be the second largest poetry competition in the nation attracting over 200 poets and over 30 teams from all over the nation.

The four day event will take place at select venues in the historic Castleberry Hill arts district in downtown Atlanta and will feature six preliminary bouts per day culminating in the Southern Fried Poetry Slam Finals. In addition, poets will host a youth poetry slam and community workshops open to the public.
