Kat, I just listened to your Odessa Rose interview, and I must say it was a sip of what my soul required this morning, as I have been up all night. I have Miss Rose's novel on my special shelf. Haven't picked it up yet, but I shall grab it SOOOON! I am a country girl, so I understood the title. My appetite has been sufficiently whet, so kudos to you, Miss Williams! Abracitos...

    e. Katrina Lewis is a self taught musician, entangled between two worlds of passion & prize, with influences dating as far back as King David. Living, breathing, & nurturing the thought, sound, & existence of every form of music created and in process of creation. She’s not just a musician but the actual music. e. Katrina graduated from the Metropolitan College of New York in 2007 with an MBA in Media Management. An amazing success journey, on Labor Day 2001, e. Katrina moved to NYC from NC, a week before the 9/11 tragedy, to pursue a career as a professional keyboardist with only $200 in her account and an overwhelming amount of student loans from undergraduate college. Coupled with an ambitious drive and persevering tenacity, e. Katrina attended industry gatherings, networking events, and with every shot she was given she showcased her skills on the keyboards.

In December 2008, e. Katrina Lewis released her debut double CD of original fusion mixed tunes (W/O Measure) and original classically influenced piano selections (Peaceful Meditations, Vol I) under her Music Production company, Beware of Music, LLC based in Philadelphia, PA.

Currently, e. Katrina has launched, Turn The Beat Around Music Awards, recognizing women in music who are musicians, producers, composers, arrangers, audio engineers and other under represented music industry professions where women lack recognition as opposed to their male counterparts.

A serial & silent entrepreneur of several ventures, e. Katrina Lewis is also the Founder of Black Lesbian Television, Black Lesbian Media, Incubator Business Consultants, and many more ventures in development to be launched in 2010.

Be The Sun Again, by Teryn

    Photobucket

Be the Sun Again is the story of what happens when real love is absent in life and something else masquerades in its place. Told in a painful but resilient voice, Cicely's story will leave you wincing for understanding and wondering why love can sometimes be elusive where it is needed most. Brazenly and truthfully told, Teryn writes an emotionally vivid story of obsessions and addictions that girl children live but takes the soul of women years to try and forget. From prologue to the last sentence Be the Sun Again will leave you with an array of feelings to sort, characters to despise, and a hope for real love for those who need to know its embrace. Join Teryn and I as we discuss Be The Sun Again, life, love and LM.
