Let's Get Soapy

It's the day after the BlogTalkRadio phenomenon known as General Kimmie's Birthday! Well, tonight we're going to discuss the party and the message brought out by Becky Herbst to her fans. It was an amazing show and what's most important is it celebrated the leadership and focus of General Kimmie with the BeckyNation movement.

In the meantime there are other things brewing on the horizon. What's in store for GH as we head into November sweeps? And how do we send a message to Anne Sweeney that she needs to have a level playing field in determining the “best two shows”. Tonight we explore the duplicity of Disney. We've got an idea! Let GH go to a network which can capitalize on what remains! We're also going to discuss the slams I've received for referring to Disney as “Mauschwitz”. Those who subtly call me an “anti-Semite” better get ready. I'm not going to take that kind of stuff sitting down.

One of the things frustrating me and many in the soap movement is the role the “official” soap press and the commercial soap bloggers have had in trying to diminish the impact of the soap fan movement. Tonight we're going to attack the issue head on. We're going to discuss the whens, whys and wherefores of the soap's Fourth Estate and how they may as well be on a Kamikaze mission if they don't change their tactics. Let's compare notes!
