The “fan” bases are gathering momentum.  As ABC axes One Life to Live and All My Children a burning question remains --- how long is General Hospital on life support?  Rumors fly, insults are hurled and no answers are coming quick enough to satisfy the feeding frenzy gripping the soap viewing public.

Tonight we talk about the “State of the Soaps” and what it all means.  In order for the soap viewer base to be heard, things have to change.  It means hard work on an already exhausted base.  But if the genre means anything to you, tonight’s show is one you don’t want to miss.

We’ll be chatting about what lies ahead.  We’ll discuss what you can do to help.  This is time for creativity, focus and a little bit of chutzpah!  While many on the other shows and in the media are sitting Shiva in their designer black threads, we’re taking a different approach!

It's not going to be pretty, folks.  We have some serious work to do and there is no room for egos and agendas.  Frankly, we're kind of tired of this same old tired argument from the soap press that ABC me has 5 million viewers.  That's really nice.  But WHERE ARE THEY?  We need to have a frank discussion about this and where we go from here on our road to reviving soaps - the genre!

Join the conversation, hear what we have to discuss.  If you’ve got some ideas, throw them on the table!  Let’s work together – regardless of what show or characters you love.  This is about a genre and how we can do something to give it back some life!
