Signs of the Times  

    Next week we'll go deeper into the Third Secret and the controversy surrounding it.  Many theologians agree that the messages at Akita, Japan where Our Lady appeared back in 1973--we will be doing a whole show on Akita next week.

    Following is a few excerpts from letters written by Sister Lucia in her later years after reflecting on Fatima: (Notice the date)

    "...IT is painful to see such a great disorientation and in so many persons who occupy places of responsibility (ie., brings to mind the "interview"-fake? of Senior Vatican priest in a certain  movie that is out now--my editorial comment)
    It is because the devil has succeeded in infiltrating evil under the cover of good and the blind are being led by the blind, and letting themselves be deceived.  This is why the devil has waged such a war against the Rosary.  And the worst is that he has succeeded in leading into error and deceiving souls..."

    "The decadence which exists in the world is without a doubt the consequence of the lack of the spirit of prayer.  Forseeing this, the Blessed Virgin recommended the recitation of the Rosary with such insistence and since the Rosary is, after the Eucharistic Liturgy, the prayer most apt for protecting and preserving the soul, the devil has unchained his venom against it.  Unfortunately, we see the disasters he has caused.  We must defend souls against the errors which can make them stray from the good and narrow road.  We cannot and must not stop ourselves, nor allow, as Our Lord says, the "children of darkness" to be wiser than the "children of Light".  The Rosary is the most powerful weapon for defending ourselves on the field of this [spiritual] battle.
