                                                                Message to Josyp from Jesus--Dec., 2006


      ....By this time, the Soviets had had enough.  There were rumors of a new type of confinement that Josyp discovered to be true.  Deep in the bowels of Vladimir, a hellish torture had been devised.  In a dungeon-like room, the Soviets had constructed a system to ventilate frigid air into a cell which in no time could kill anyone who was exposed to it, as Terelya was.  Officially, it was Cell 21, but it had been converted to a freezer cell.  Ironically, this was the same cell the Virgin visited two years before and now he was back.
       Surrendering all resistance, Terelya was resigned to his fate and his certain death.  His lips and eyelids froze and he could feel his head splitting from the cold.  He couldn't move his limbs or his jaw.  In a little time, he knew his entire body would soon be frozen.  While he waited for death, he prayed.  Then, says Terelya, something happened.  An intense flash of light suddenly engulfed the room.  Even though he couldn't move, Terelya could see the room becoming miraculously illuminated and then he felt heat and a woman's hand upon his frozen eyelids.  A sweet smell filled the air, he recalled.  As the hand lifted, Terelya opened his eyes and heard:  "YOU CALLED ME", the Virgin said "AND I HAVE COME."
      Terelya said that Mary was wearing a heavily pleated dark blue dress and she looked like a Carpathian mountain woman.  "YOU DON"T BELIEVE IT'S ME," Mary said to Josyp as he wrestled with the thought that he was hallucinating.  But it was her, she assured him.  Terelya recalls that Mary's light poured over his frozen body and that he went from extreme cold to being uncomfortably hot, and as one can only imagine, his spirits soared.  With a Rosary in her hand, Terelya says the Virgin Mary stood next to him for two hours.  She instructed him.  His future, Josyp says he was told, would unfold with God's plan for this part of the world, especially Ukraine.  More importantly, Mary foretold to him some of the future of mankind.  She then showed Terelya some startling visions.
       "NOW LOOK," she said as a vision of a map unfolded.  It was Russia--but this time, fire was burning everywhere, igniting the country.  Other parts of the world appeared the same, and Mary showed Josyp mankind's fate if it did not soon return to God.
        "I saw entire landscapes, I saw a river I recognized as the Amur.  I don't know hw I knew it was that river--I saw many islands there.  I saw tanks on the Soviet side--but not the Soviet type--and a city in flames.  Siberia was on fire to the Ural Mountains.  I saw Moscow and the people there had faces that were twisted and deformed.  Moscow was sinking and throughout the city were strange creatures running down the streets.  Their faces were those of rats and their tails were long and fat with scaly skin and hairs sticking out like spikes.  They were as big as a dog and whoever the creatures spat at would fall to the ground, as if by venom.
      There was a tremendous fear that filled Moscow, and the city was falling into the earth.  I saw hills, forests, cities, walls.  The whole countryside was aflame.  And all these explosions weretaking place...."
      And then Terelya says he understood another part of the prophetic vision--Red China would be involved in the war.  He could see the tanks in the vision were Chinese.  By supernatural intuition, Terelya says he now understood his role.  He was chosen, as was the Ukraine, for an important mission to assist in the salvation of the world in the time that remained.  Mary explained to Jsyp that the world desperately needed prayers.
      Just as Terelya began to remove his shirt, guards burst into his cell.  Shocked and confused, the soldiers could only ask, "What are you doing?"
       On Dec. 26, 1983, Terelya was released once more, only to be resentenced on Aug. 20, 1985, and sent to camps in the Perm area, which many considered the worst in the Soviet system.  These were more than prisons, they were death camps.  Perm is situated on the western side of the Url Mountains near Siberia where sub-zero temperatures are typical of the winter months.  Once again, solitary confinement was to be Terelya's fate.  But he continued to pray, and he somehow survived.  By now, Terelya was known in the West and a petition for his release, signed by 151 U.S.Congressmen, was sent to the new Soviet General Secretary, M. Gorbachev.  In Feb., 1987, Terelya was transferred and released for good.  J. Terelya then went to his eternal reward this past March 16th....



    "....It is 4 a.m., I was praying before the icon of the Mother of God.  Then, all of a sudden an unearthly light appeared before me, and from it, I hear the voice of Jesus Christ:

    "MY CHILDREN, BELIEVE IN ME AND OBEY GOD'S COMMANDMENTS, YOU WILL BE SAVED.  NOTHING NEW HAS TAKEN PLACE, HERESIES AND SECTS, THE WAY IT WAS AT THE BEGINNING, ARE TRYING TO DESTROY THE CHURCH, BUT THIS IS NOT WITH IN THEIR POWER.  REMEMBER, "AND THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST HER."  MAN CAN BECOME A SON OF GOD BY GRACE, AND BEING BORN OF GOD.  BELIEVE, AND WHAT HAS BEEN PROPHESIED SHALL COME TO PASS.  DO NOT FEAR THE DEVIL, HE HAS NO POWER, AND IT HAS NOT BEEN GIVEN TO HIM TO UNDERSTAND MAN, GOD'S CREATION.  I AM ADMONISHING YOU TO TURN AWAY FROM MAGIC AND THE OCCULT, THESE ARE SIN.  I AM SEALING ALL THE WINDOWS BEFORE LUCIFER; HE IS THE ONE WHO WALKS ALONG DIFFERENT PATHS.  YOU WILL BE SAVED BY OBEYING THE COMMANDMENTS AND YOU WILL OBTAIN ETERNAL LIFE.  KNOW THAT I AM WITH YOU.  DO NOT LISTEN TO THOSE WHO ARE DECEIVED.  LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF MY MOTHER AND KNOW THAT I AM THE ONE WHO REDEEMS THE WORLD, DEFENDS AND GIVES ETERNAL LIFE.  I AM THE RUIN OF THE DEVIL.  I LOVE AMERICA, CANADA AND ALL THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD!  I LOVE YOU MY CHILDREN, AND THUS IT WILL BE UNTO ETERNITY.  THE WORLD WILL BE SAVED THROUGH LOVE--PRAYERS DEFEND ALL HUMANITY.  ALL THE HURRICANES AND STORMS ARE THE WORK OF HUMAN HANDS; DO NOT BLAME GOD FOR THIS.  THE RESPONSIBILITY LIES WITH M. AND T.  THEY ARE COMMITTING SIN.  MY MOTHER THAT GAVE ME FLESH, GRANTS TO ALL OF YOU THE BODY OF THE NEW CIVILIZATION, THIS WILL COME ABOUT THROUGH LOVE AND HAPPINESS.  PRAY AND FOLLOW MY PATHS, AND YOU SHALL TEAR ASUNDER THE PATHS OF THE DEVIL.  NOT ONE OF HIS PLANS WILL COME TO FRUITION...."

   Then all of a sudden, the Immaculate Virgin appeared in a blessed radiance:

      "MY FAITHFUL OF THE NEW AMERICA, YOUNG PEOPLE, BE ON FIRE WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT!  RECEIVE THE SEAL OF MY DISCIPLESHIP AND BE FILLED WITH THE JOY OF GOD.  PRAISE GOD, PRAY, AND YOU WILL BE SAVED THROUGH PRAYER.  CLOSE DOWN THE FILTHY DISCOTHEQUES; LISTEN TO THE MUSIC THAT FLOWS FROM MY HEART.  TUR OFF YOUR TV SCREENS; OPEN MY SON'S BOOK AND LOVE, LOVE.  LOVE THE LIFE GIVEN TO YOU BY MY SON...

     THE STORY OF JOSEF TERELYA

     Secretly, he prayed.  It was January 1964 and Josyp Terelya had just been transferred to another prison in the Soviet Gulag, one of the more 210 concentration camps and 36 prisons in the Ukraine, where 450,000 people were detained.  This camp was in the Donbas Kom....region.  It was known as PJA-128-22.
     And being caught in prayer here meant one thing--solitary confinement.  In the Gulag, solitary confinement in a closet-sized room.  No windows and barely enough air and dripping moisture everywhere that left a man sick and miserable.  Salt was placed on walls to retain moisture as an added misery.  There was one meal a day which consisted of a small portion of bread and fish and two cups of water, and the challenge in this state of intense hunger is not to lick the salt off the walls, because along with the cold, it could produce fatal results.
      Prayer was  the only survival kit that inmate Terelya trusted.  As he traveled from prison to prison, he kept close to God's heart and always in his mind.  As a religious and political prisoner, this dissident knew that trust in God was something the system could not strip him of.
      Terelya was born Oct. 27, 1943 in the Carpathian Ukraine.  Both his parents were Communists when Stalin's reign of terror was at its peak.  Terelya's family was predominantly Catholic and after the fall of Nazi Germany, some of them worked in the underground to keep the church alive.  Riased by his grandparents, Terelya was nurtured in the faith and his personal role in the underground church became so strong that by age 18, he was branded as an enemy of the state.  IT was the height of irony since Terelya's mother had been employed by the party to eradicate Christianity.
       In the summer of 1947, when Terelya was 6, the Soviets decided to liquidate the Ukrainian Ccatholic church.  At the time, according to Terelya's father's records, there were 700,000 Eastern Rite Catholics in the Carpathian region, 450 churches and chapels, 281 parishes, and 359 priests.  Throughout the UUkraine, there were 2,772 parishes and 4 million faithful.  When Stalin died in 1953, the church had already been decimated and by the mid-1960's, there was nothing left.  More than 10,000 churches throughout the Soviet Empire had been destroyed, and most of the faithful were incarcerated, silenced or dead.
       On Sept. 4, 1962, they came for Terelya,  Even his parents, who were communist party prima donnas couldn't help.  Charged with inciting nationalism, he was sent to the Gulag.  It was the beginning of three decades of imprisonment.  The Soviet prison system stretched from the Ukraine to Siberia to Moldovia and Terelya visited much of it during three decades of subhuman living, beatings and attempted escapes.  Yes, Terelya would escape, but each escape  was followed by recapture and a longer sentence.  Soon, he wasn't just a nationalist--he was an enemy of the Bolsheviks and therefore classified as a high risk prisoner.  Special camps were built for such prisoners, and Terelya soon found himself in the middle of swamps and bogs, places that made escaping virtually impossible.  For inmate Josyp Terelya, death was all but a certainty.
        In prison, the beatings were horrific.  Blood loss and broken bones often left him certain that death was imminent.  Still Terelya continued to pray.  And he continued to survive.  "Glory be to Jesus Christ," he would proclaim, serenading his jailers.  Our Father's, Hail Mary's and Creeds would flow from his lips.  Over time, he survived riots, starvation, psychiatric wards, and even crucifixion.
      Like alexander Solzhenitsyn, Terelya became a living legend in the Gulag system.  The KGB officials and communist hierarchy tried everything short of shooting him, but as his reputation grew, direct termination of his life became an unwise option because officials feared civil retribution or political embarrassment.  Meanwhile, Terelya kept escaping any way possible, even through tunnels.  But his attempts were always fruitless because there was nowhere to go but back to prison.  To isolation cells and surveillance capms, and finally to a special cell where his destiny would unfold.
      On Feb. 12, 1970, at Vladimir Prison in Special Corpus 2, the supernatural intervened in an event that the whole world would learn about.  Vladimir was a cold, stark prison that epitomized the strange horrors of the Gulag.  20 to 30 people would be crammed in 10-by-10 foot cells.  No sunlight.  No heat.  Only artificial light that kept on all day and night to induce terror and mental deterioration--24 hours a ya--day after day after day.
       By then, Terelya was down to 120 pounds, his athletic boxer physique reduced to a shell of his former self.  He ached and developed rheumatism.  His kidneys and liver often faltered, while his many broken bones left him in chronic pain.  Vladimir meant pain--all kinds of pain.  Constant beatings and psychological torture and unending cold.  But even here, Terelya was a renegade.  He kept on praying and kept on agitating the officials.  That was what his life consisted of until Feb. 12, 1970.
       While he was lying prostrate in prayer, suddenly, without warning, he felt an unusual warmth that flowed through his body.  And then, shortly after 10 p.m., Terelya says a brilliant light filled his cell.  It was an unusualy light, something Terelya had never seen before.  It was "like moonlight," he later wrote, but it almost seemed to be a "living light."  Gradually this aureole settled next to his bunk bed and within seconds, Terelya says the Blessed Virgin Mary materialized.  It was a brief appearance, but an unfathomable experience, recalled Terelya.
     Instantly, Terelya remembers that the Virgin filled his distraught body with peace.  All his fears dissipated and were replaced by an intense feeling of security that was emanating.  Mary's blue eyes penetrated his soul and he said she was beyonf beautiful in human terms, unlike anything he had ever known.  She appeared, he would later write, like a "huge jewel in shimmery light--majestic beyond imagination."
      In this apparition, Mary came as a young, peasant looking woman wearing a blue veil and light clothing, despite the cold, damp cell.  And most of all says Terelya, she was real--very, very real.  He said the Virgin spoke to him and told him some of his future.  She instructed him to pray to the "angel of the Ukraine" and then Mary admonished him.  He recorded her words to him:
   "YOU MUST LEARN TO FORGIVE THOSE WHO PERSECUTE YOU THE MOST.  I WILL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU BUT YOU'RE NOT READY.  YOU DOUBT.  YOU QUESTION.  YOU MUST GO THROUGH ALL OF THIS.  YOU MUST CHANGE YOUR LIFE AND LEARN TO UNDERSTAND YOURSELF SO YOU WON'T BE LIKE CAIN.  THERE ARE DIFFICULT YEARS BEFORE YOU OF TRIAL AND HUMILIATION, BUT FROM TODAY ON, YOU'LL NEVER HAVE FEAR.  I SHALL BE WITH YOU.  I HAVE SHED MANY TEARS.  MANY PEOPLE ARE DENYING THE FUTURE LIFE.  THEY ARE DENYING MY SON.  AROUND US IS A VERY INTENSE INTOLERANCE.  RUSSIA CONTINUES TO REMAIN IN DARKNESS AND ERROR AND TO SPREAD HATRED FOR CHRIST THE KING.  UNTIL PEOPLE SINCERELY REPENT AND ACCEPT THE LOVE OF MY SON, THERE WILL NOT BE PEACE BECAUSE PEACE COMES ONLY WHERE THERE IS JUSTICE.  PRAY FOR YOUR ENEMIES.  FORGIVE THEM AND BEFORE YOU THERE WILL BE A VERY BRIGHT ROAD.."

         With this, Josyp said that the Virgin suddenly showed him a spectacular vision.  It was a vision of war.  "I saw fire," Josyp recalled.  "I saw fire and tanks and knew there would be war between Russia and some other country.."   With that, the Virgin vanished.
      Two years later to the day--Feb 12, 1972, it happened again.  This time Mary reportedly intervened to save Terelya's life....

     Maria Simma-  From her childhood, she helped souls in purgatory with her prayers, gaining indulgences for them.  From 1940 onward, the souls in purgatory asked several times for the help of her prayers.  On All Saints' Day in 1953, Maria started helping the dead with her repentant suffering.  She suffered very much because of an officer who died in Karnten in 1660.  The pains she endured were equal to the sins she had to atone.  It seemed that the souls in purgatory were given mercy through the blessed Virgin Mary during the week after All Saints' Day.ber was a month of especially abundant grace for them, but she was very happy when November came to an end.
      Once, a priest from Koln, who died in 555 appeared to her in despair.  He begged her for repentant suffering which she had to take on voluntarily--otherwise he would suffer until Judgment Day.  Maria accepted it and it was a week of terrible suffering for her.  Every night that soul came to her and gave her new tortures.  It seemed as if her limbs were dislocated.  That soul pressed and squeezed her repeatedly from all sides and blades of pain strongly stabbed her.  She felt as if a broken edge, bending under pressure was stabbing her all over her body.  That soul had to suffer for murder (he took part in murdering the nuns of St. Ursula's), lack of faith, adultery and blasphemous masses.
      One soul told her that he was rising a motorcycle in Vienna without paying attention to the traffice signs and suddenly an accident happened, in which he died.  She asked the soul, "Were you ready to go to eternity?"  "I wasn't ready, but God gives two or three minutes to all those who sin unscupulously against him to repent.  Only the person who refuses to repent will be doomed to eternal suffering.  When someone dies in a car accident, it is said that his time has come.  That is not true.  You can say that only when someone dies when it is not his own fault.  But according to God's plans, I could have lived 30 years longer--that would have been the time for my life.  Therefore, a man must not risk his life unless it is necessary."

     One day in 1954 at about 2:30pm, while travling to Marul.  I saw a miserable old woman by the road.  She looked as if she were about 100 years old.  I greeted her in a friendly way.  "Why do you greet me...Nobody does it anymore."  I tried to console her saying, "You deserve to be greet like other people."  And then she started lamenting, "Nobody gives me that sign of kindness.  Nobody gives me anything to eat and I have to sleep by the roadside."
        I thought that perhaps she didn't have sound judgment.  I tried to persuade her that it wasn't true, but she was persistent.  And then I thought that nobody wanted to live with her anymore because she was old and boring, so I invited her to come to my place.  "But I can't pay," she said.  Trying to encourage her, I said, "It's not important.  You only have to accept when I have.  My house is not that nice, but it will be better than sleeping by the road."  Then she said, "God will reward you!  I am now released."  And she disappeared.  Only then did I realize that it was a soul from purgatory.  Perhaps in her earthly life she had refused to help someone who needed her help, and after her death she had to wait for someone to offer her voluntarily the same help she had refused to give to others.

                                                   A MOTHER WHO HINDERED HER
                                                         CHILD'S VOCATION

     The next time a woman came to me, "I hd to suffer for 30 years in purgatory because I didn't let me daughter go to the convent."  This shows that parents who don't allow their children to respond to God's call, to priestly duty or monastic life, take a great responsibility.  The souls told me that many parents had to be aware of the responsibility they had taken because they didn't accept their children's vocation to consecrated life.


                                              A WOMAN WHO HAD A MOST
                                                    TERRIBLE PURGATORY


      One man wrote a letter to me saying that his wife had died a year earlier and since that time he could hear knocking on his door every night.  He wanted me to find out what was going on.  After telling him that I was not sure whether it was possible to find out about it.  I went to his room.  Perhaps his wifewould not be able to apper.  In this case we should put everything in the hands of Providence.  I was sleeping in that room.  At about 11p.m., I heard some noise and asked immediately, "What do you want and what do I have to do?"
      I didn't see anybody and got no answer.  I thought that perhaps the woman still couldn't talk.  After five minutes, I heard frightful stamping.  A huge animal appeared which had never happened before.  It was a rhinoceros.  I sprinkled it with holy water and asked, "How can I help you?"  There was no answer.  The animal looked worried.  Then Satan came in the appearance of a huge snake, which grabbed the rhino in order to strangle it.  After that, it suddenly disappeared.  I came to some sad conclusions.  This woman, however, should not have been condemned.  A little later, another soul in human appearance came to me.  He consoled me saying, "Don't be afraid.  That woman is not condemned, but she suffers the most terrible purgatory." 

        What was it caused by?  For a long time she lived in enmity with another woman and was the cause of that enmity.  Her enemy wanted to make it up with her a few times, but she refused.  She even refused her unkindly during her last illness and so she died.  Here we have proof of the strictness with which God punishes those who are hostile towards those closest to them, because such behavior is completely opposed to mercy.  We often quarrel in our life, but it is necessary to try to return to peace and harmony--to forgive immediately.  Mercy is above everything, but the value of its strength is not emphasized enough.  It covers many sins....



              WHAT A FEW OF THE SAINTS SAY ABOUT PURGATORY


     "Even the smallest torture in purgaotry is stronger than the greatest torture on earth.  As much as the torture of the fire in purgatory is different from our fire, so much is our fire here different from a painted image of fire....Prayer for the dead is more acceptable to God than prayer for the living, because the dead need it more and cannot help themselves as the living can."

         "This mountain (San Giovanni Rotundo) is climbed more by the souls from purgatory than by men and women who are still alive, in order to take part in holy Mass and look for my prayers....If the Lord has to allow the souls to pass from the fire of purgatory to the fire on earth,  it is like passing from boiling water to cold water."

       At the moment of St. Gertrude's death, Jesus appeared to her saying, "Be brave and hope.  You will be in heaven soon.  Here, many souls are coming ot welcome you, those who were released from purgatory, thanks to you.  They are singing and cheering to see you off to the eternal prize in heaven."


        "I believe that after the bliss of the saints who are enjoying their glory, there is no joy similar to that of the souls in purgatory.  It is certain that these souls are joining together two seemingly irreconcilable things--enjoyment in extreme joy, and at the same time, enormous suffering.  Although these two things are so contradictory, they don't exclude each other.  I have always been answered when I have prayed for grace through the souls in purgaotry.  What's more, the graces which I couldn't get through the saints, I got through the advocacy of the souls in purgatory."

     "When I want to receive some grace from God, I address the souls in purgatory, and I feel that my petitions are answered through their intercession."

     "In my free time, I always pray for the souls in purgatory.  With their advocacy, these souls have saved me from many dangers of soul and body.  Piety toward the souls in purgatory is the best school of the christian life.  It moves us to merciful deeds, teaches us to pray, helps us in listening to holy mass, gets us used to thinking about penitence, encourages us to be charitable, helps us to resist mortal sin, and makes us frightened of small sins.
      Always pray to holy Mary for the souls in purgatory.  Our Lady expects your prayers to present it to God and  release the souls you are praying for.

      "To show love for your deceased, don't bring them flowers, but pray more.  Don't care about the funeral, but give support to the souls in purgatory by giving vharity, forgiving sins, and doing works of mercy.  Don't care about the building of luxurious tombs, but care more about assisting at holy mass.  Outward signs are a relief for you, but spiritual deeds are, for the souls in pirgatory, a much-wanted and expected comfort."

     In Medjugorje, Our Lady said:    "Pray for the souls in purgatory...
        Today I wish to ask you to pray for the souls in purgatory.  Each soul needs prayers and graces to reach God's love.  By doing this, you too, dear children, will acquire new mediators who will help you to know that earthly things are unimportant for you in life; that you must only stretch out towards heaven.  Therefore, dear children, pray without ceasing in order to help yourselves and also others to whom your prayers will bring joy...."
