If your child is off to college or preparing to go, you may be more afraid than they are of the road ahead. We want so much for our children to be successful. How can we help without interfering?  Dr. Lori White, VP Student Affairs at SMU and Mary Willingham, Instructor of Education at UNC-CH will explain just what's happening on campus, when you need to step in and when you need to back off.

SMU and UNC were ranked among the Princeton Review's Top 10 campuses with Happiest Students so both know what makes for a successful, rich college experience.

Dr. White is in charge of all things students and works with her staff to create the safe yet open campus environment necessary for students to thrive. Working in universities with top sports programs (Stanford, USC, SMU) Dr. White shares how parents can help students balance a rigorous curriculum and athletic careers.

Mary Willingham was featured recently in the documentary "Schooled: The Price of College Sports" speaking out on her experiences with academic issues facing college athletes. She is focused on NCAA reform.

Listen for the show's regular features: Mom's Tech Tips, Encouraging Words and the Real Mom Scenario of the Week.
